Default Big blossom...

I have the SAB Big Blossom stamp and love the cards others have made with it. Unfortunately, I am unable to get it inked and stamped nicely without noticeable ink lines or light spots...my question is how do others get theirs to turn out so nicely?? HELP PLEASE!

If you use a brayer to ink very large or background stamps, it gives you nice even ink coverage, with no lines or spots.
Good luck!

I had this problem too. The ladies here suggested to scuff up the rubber a little by either rubbing it on your jeans or lightly rubbing sandpaper over it. Then clean the stamp and ink. Also try to ink w/ versamark first, let it dry and ink over. Good luck. I still have some issues with BB, because it is so much rubber, but it's better than when I started!

Default big blossom

What I do is I sort of use a 'sponge' technique. Instead of swiping it on the ink pad, back and forth I use the ink pad and sort of sponge it on, placing the ink pad over the stamp several times until I get the desired look (no lines). I hope this makes sense and I hope this helps. Also, if you know how to do the twist technique it looks really great with big blossom. I used the daisy from little layers plus (retired).

I don't have the brayer, but I've been having good luck by juicing up my pad with the reinker, wiping the stamp across several times until everything is covered and then gently stamping the bad onto the stamp so that there are no lines.

Also try craft ink. It'll give better coverage. I successfully stamped this by kissing it with the Paisley background stamp. So I got a Paisley Big Blossom in Pixie Pink (this was done with classic ink).

I vote for the brayer and also the second reinking andstamping always seems to work better for me.
