Default Big Shot Flowers

Does anyone know how to make the flowers shown on page 66 of the SU catalog?? Has anyone attempted to try making them?

I looked through the supply list, it lists 2 different Big Shot flower dies, but other than that, I have no idea. They look like they are BS embossed before they are cut out.

Help me Please!
Laurie

They are probably embossed in the textured impressions folder or with the plates after they are cut out. I haven't made these specific flowers but have made others with these two dies and I always emboss after I cut them out because you need large pieces of paper to cut them out. Then it's just a metter of how many layers you want to build your flowers, these use double or triple layers.

Do you roll the ends of the petals to get them to stand up like that?

Yes. Use a pencil or something. You can mist your paper with water to make them easier to shape. Hold the folds for a few seconds around your pencil before releasing. Another thing you can do is use your bone folder like you do when you use scissors to curl ribbon. But if you do that it will take out embossing that you did.
