Default Bleach stamping trouble...

So I decided to try bleach stamping. I poured some bleach on a folded paper towel, tapped my stamp on it, and stamped. I got a few halfway decent images, but mostly the bleach just beaded up on the stamps, since it is so much thinner than ink. Will I not get a very clear image with bleach? I have seen some pretty good results from other people. Any advice? Thanks!

Press the stamp onto the paper for a few seconds before you lift it up. That gives the bleach a chance to settle into the paper in a more uniform way. I would also suggest really getting a good amount of bleach on the stamp instead of just tapping it.

clean stamp wellwellwell but not on your scrubber!...
then
use versamark on rubber before the first time
and then the bleach
it is supposed to protect the rubber somewhat and give the bleach something more gummy to adhere to...

it has been a long time, but the projects I have made were with a very detailed botanical leaf (for fall ) and the results were great!
also we used a scrap of terrycloth washcloth as the bleachpad.. the cheapie, not thick kind ...

also good, I remember hearing, is dried up baby wipes...

I use those for custom spectrum pads pretty regularly so it is reasonable to me...
they are 'fluffier' than papertowels...
hth! gl!

You need to make sure your bleach is not old... and I used the thicker bleach, I think it is Ultra. It stays on the stamp better to create a better image on your cardstock.
