Default Bleach on stamps

When you use bleach directly on your stamps, does it hurt them or dry them out? I have used bleach and love the effects on the cardstock. I clean the stamp well afterwards, but want to know if there is anything else I should be doing to condition them if necessary.

I have bleached w/mine MANY times, and I just make sure to clean them well with Stampin Mist afterwards. It condtions them, too. I've never had a problem! HTH - Debbi

I have bleached with stamps for years and just simply rinse with water. No harm done!

I always dilute the bleach with water. Even at 50/50 you still get a crisp bleached image.

I saw on another thread to stamp on your versamrk pad first, it creates a barrier so to speak, and then on your bleach 'pad' ...I haven't tried it myself, but thought I would share...HTH

Hmm...I have never had a problem with it, but I haven't done it all that often. I just make sure I clean the stamp with something else (a baby wipe or something) then clean it on my stampin pad.

Does this give a different affect than using the Versamark pad alone?
I've never tried stamping with bleach.....will have to try this technique.

I love stamping with bleach, and always just clean them right away, and have never had any problems

Default Thanks

Thank you for all of your input. I just wanted to make sure I was using the bleach properly and want to make sure I don't damage my stamps...they are so precious! ;o)
