Hi Everyone!
Just thought I'd check in here. My friend Shirley phoned to let me know you were all wondering about the lack of updates to our site.
Nothing tragic has been happening, just a crazy busy summer that got away from us. Many of you know that our website is a family run business. I do the purchasing and most of the counting, cutting, sorting, and all of the shipping. My hubby is the web developer since I'm a big dummy in that arena. He's been on a few business trips since May, he also spent a week at scout camps with our boys. He has a regular day job in addition to maintaining our site.
The week of August 1st, we hosted a wedding for my hubby's brother and his new bride. We had 8 house guests, plus many more in and out all day long for about a week. Finally, on Sunday, the 3rd, everyone left. Whew!!
All this time, we've kept up with our order shipments, we just have been neglecting our site updates. In addition to that, we've had issues with our mail servers, which will hopefully be resolved tomorrow.
Then....this week. Our youngest son, who is nearly 8 stepped on a toothpick and broke off about 2/3 of it in his foot. We spent all day Thursday at the ER and after 2 unsuccessful attempts to remove the toothpick, he ended up needing surgery on Friday. They still couldn't find the toothpick, it's very deep. They decided that it would do more harm than good to remove it. Now we get to tease him that he has a wooden leg. :-D
As I'm typing this, my hubby is working on the site updates and adding 2 new colors of pearl embellishments, plus one new shape. Watch for more good things to come, including satin ribbons in a bunch of colors at incredible prices!
