Default Buying glossy c/s--question

I feel stupid for asking this, but I'm not sure!! :? Can I get glossy cardstock from staples, or any place that sells office supplies? I thought I had some, but I'm out. I wanted to try the crayon resist technique!!

Thanks guys... :?

I buy glossy cardstock from a local place called Paper Plus. They are a wholesaler who distributes to companies. I buy it by 1/4 ream, which is 250 sheets, for around $11. I'm not sure if staples sells it or not. Check your yellow pages for office suppliers or paper warehouses. It is ABSOLUTELY the same paper I have from SU. The weight is the same. You can not tell them apart. Stamps the same, everything. They also sell ultrasmooth white cardstock in 60 or 80lb weight. HTH. Carmela

I don't know, I just bought some SU and I love it, but I hadn't heard of anywhere else you could buy it.

I tried this technique on regular cardstock...maybe I did something wrong, because where I applied my white crayon, I didn't get any effect.

I gave it another try on regular c/s....now I'm really anxious to get some glossy c/s. The crayon picked up, but only around the black. Or maybe that's the idea?? :? I thought the white would pick up *on* the image. Hope I make sense.

I *think* on regualr cardstock you do need to press realtively hard to get that area "waxy". Then sponge over-I have better luck sponging rather than brayering on non-glossy paper. HTH
