My fave candy at Easter time is Cadbury Cream Eggs.
Does anyone know of a holder that would work for one egg?
I am thinking of passing them out to the nie-phews (nieces and
nephews) and godchildren this year.
You could make a little box just a bit bigger than the egg to put it in. Or were you wanting something to where you can see the egg right away? If that's the case, then I have an idea for a little basket you could make.
I haven't tried making a cadbury egg holder, but I did just make a nestle nest egg holder for six eggs. You might want to take a look at it for inspiration:

the template is too cute for words. If want a box for just one, how about doing the box just slightly larger then the egg, and use the idea for a circle base for it, then do a see thru top using acetate? I picture a box like they sell the large chocolate eggs at the store in. Does that make sense? I love cadbery eggs, but don't have any here to experiment with. Drats!

Hmm, some great ideas! I am going to do individual eggs, so I will have to play around and expiriment. I didn't even think that they are the same size as regular eggs, lol.
I've made some of these (sorry no picture yet). My designer series paper is 6.5" x 4". It's just like a 2-4-6-8 box, but I score at 1.5" increments on the long side and then 1" on each of side of the short side. Before I put the box together, I cut out an egg shape from what will be the front of the box. (I made my own template and just trace it). Then I assemble the box except for the top flap, add the egg and secure the egg with a Stampin' Dimensional--then secure the top flap. I wrap ribbon around the box as the last finishing touch. I think they turned out very cute and they were super easy to make.
I'd have to say the egg boxes at Papertrey or have you ever thought about Altering an Egg carton? I know they fit perfect in one of them. though that is alot of chocolate LOL. I bought some paper trey egg boxes last night but i bought mine for xmas gifts for next year but I am going to put Candles in them instead. I found some candles at target that are flower smelling and dang they smell good thought the boxes would be perfect for them.
LOL just read you wanted one for one only. Have you thought of those sour cream containers people make. Not sure how to make them but i know directions are on this site somewhere they would be about the right size....
