Default Is it called "Squash card"?

You take an 8" square piece of paper and score it into 4 4" squares. Decorate 3 of the squares and the fourth is glued onto the next square forming a chain ... and you can continue on for as long as you like.

Are these called "squash cards"?

Thanks,
Kimberly

I'm not sure what they are called, but I've seen (and made) little scrapbooks like these. I have an instruction sheet at home I could post. I'm sure there's more info on the net, but I can't seem to find a link right now.

I call them squash books. I think I've also heard some people call them accordian books/cards. If you do a search in the gallery you might try both names.

Now that I know what I am looking for .. I can find all kinds of examples!

http://www.ourlittlesiteontheweb.com...squashbook.htm

This is a good pic of a finished one .. especially showing the "fold" lines for the squashing effect.

I have heard them called folding albums and I have the template linked in a previous post here:

Forums at Splitcoaststampers

They are really cool and make great mini brag books.

This template uses 10" squares, so you can use 8.5"x11" paper instead of 12x12.

Kim - we expect to see pictures in the gallery!

Here's the one I did awhile ago. They are such fun and a big hit at stamp club. The dimensions I used are in the comment section. I combined several instructions I found here and there.
