You take an 8" square piece of paper and score it into 4 4" squares. Decorate 3 of the squares and the fourth is glued onto the next square forming a chain ... and you can continue on for as long as you like.
I'm not sure what they are called, but I've seen (and made) little scrapbooks like these. I have an instruction sheet at home I could post. I'm sure there's more info on the net, but I can't seem to find a link right now.
I call them squash books. I think I've also heard some people call them accordian books/cards. If you do a search in the gallery you might try both names.
Here's the one I did awhile ago. They are such fun and a big hit at stamp club. The dimensions I used are in the comment section. I combined several instructions I found here and there. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I just taught these at the Scrapbook Store I work at...theya re so much fun... I have heard them called squash and/or explosion. Aren;tt hey lots of fun!!! I get addicted to making these!! ;)
