It's harder than some folks might think . . . to write poems that really don't stink. ;)
Fall is the season, for which we find reason
To express what we feel in our hearts
A welcome in hall, a frame for the wall
Deck the house with some fabulous art!
The turkey is lurkin', and kitty is jerkin'
Our tails with a mighty fine jest
Sunset on Pacific, soot stampin' terrific!
And a pig that thinks you are the best!
A pumpkin or two, a buckle in blue
Dried leaves, and a turkey from punch
Cornucopia full, a potpourri bowl
And apples we'd all like to munch!
A trio of sheep, a glittery "cheat"
And chipboard all over the place
A dog with a bone, candles for home
And cowboys with moustached face
A Journal for keeping, Linda's batiking
Bandana in black and banana
Dinner with friends, good times never end
Wish I could watercolor like Anna!
A sweet pink brazziere, for friends we hold dear
In support of breast cancer awareness
A clever gift bag, no Halloween hags
And a chicken with packages rests
This poem is lame, cuz I'm off my game,
Trying to stamp up some ditties
We think we're the smartest, with this newest artist
You will be amazed by her pretties!
The End. .......................................

Lame??? I don't think I could write a poem like that in a week, or even a month, let alone a couple of hours!
Of course, now it is time to speculate...wonder what the theme is, and who the "new girl" is this month! Looking forward to the 15th!

I'm guessing that one of our DD ladies bought a sparkly card in Vegas, tried to pass it off as her own, Julie slugged her, and upset an entire box of chipboard doo-dads. How am I doing? On the right track?? ;)

Julie, your poems are the best
You always pass the test
of giving us lots of clues
even hints of different hues!
Thank you so much for sharing,
And even more for daring
To please this eager crowd
Before we shout out loud!
We can't wait til Sunday
But you make it such a fun way
To guess what might be showing,
And watch our wish list growing.
Your poems are always great!
Thanks for dropping some bait!
And now I'll start some guessing:
It's about TURKEYS FILLED WITH DRESSING!!!

Great poem Julie! I'm thinking really hard about the October theme, and I can't wait until Sunday. I'm hoping that because Sundays are normally no download days, that we don't have to wait until Monday!

Thanks for the info. I've been a member of the Fan Club since July but didn't know the 15th was the date the DD did this. I guess I should read information more closely. ("When all else fails, read the directions.")
