Default Can someone help me with my new Color Caddy?

I bought the new SU Color Caddy that holds all 48 inkpads. I've put all the trays on, then the top tray that holds the reinkers, but the metal post doesn't stick thru the top of the tray AT ALL, so I can't put the handle on it!

Any advice? I must be doing something wrong...

I would say double check that all of the trays are "clicked in" to the tray below. The post is just barely long enough if assembled perfectly so there is no room for any leeway. Mine doesn't spin at all. I had a lazy-susan but I don't think it's heavy-duty enough to hold the weight of all the pads because it doesn't spin even with that.

Overall, it does what I need it to do - hold all my pads in a very compact space.

With mine I had to push down a little on the top thing that's suppose to hold the ink refills in order to be able to screw on the handle. It just barely fits together. Also it doesn't spin well. It turns, but kind of hard. It does do a great job of holding the pads. I'm thinkning of getting a lazy susan to put underneath it, but as stated in the preveious post it might still not be able ot turn due to the fact that it's so heavy with all the ink pads in it.

I agree, check to make sure one tray isn't on just right. Mine wasn't,I had one just slightly off. Mine does spin, slowly and that is great for me. I turn it my the sides not the top tray or handle. It is Okay. I love having the extra space on my stamp area.

Just to comment on the spinning thing....someone, somewhere commented that the caddy is not meant to spin really freely - to prevent the ink pads from flying out (for all you crazy caddy spinners)

Can't remember where I read that though....

Mine was the same way -- the metal rod didn't go all the way through. Check the bottom of it. There is a crook in the rod that needs to fit/snap all the way into a slot. Once it was in, there was enough room to turn the handle.

Mine doesn't spin freely, which is fine with me. But it does seem a bit wobbly probably because of the construction. If any body has any ideas how to fix that, please let me know.
