What kind of stamping projects does everyone take on long car rides? I am taking an eight hour one this weekend and would love to be able to stamping work. thanks

I find it hard to do, but if it's a relatively "smooth" ride you can take lots of prestamped balck images on white to color! hope you have a great, safe trip!

I too find it hard to do any stamp stuff while riding in a car. Maybe you could get some stamping magazines to read, have a notebook with you and write down all the stamping things you haven't done yet, or haven't done in a while that you want to try. Maybe you can come up with some fun card sketches that you can turn into cards. Or if you have old stamping magazines, you could take them and a pair of scissors and cut out your favorites and throw out the rest of the magazine. You could glue those into a small notebook.

It's not quite the same but I did this on my flight to Italy in June. I got a lot done, it was a long flight.

I agree with both the coloring project and the stack of magazines to read. And if you have one of those little gadgets for making bows, you could make a whole bunch for future projects.

I get carsick if I try and read anything and evidently the roads must be in better shape where you are (I'm in Georgia) because I wouldn't even attempt to try and color or cut anything while in a car. The only thing I can do is dream of everything I can create once I get to my destination.

I don't know where you are but the traveling I have done in the past 22 years, there is NO way you can coloring while driving in a car. Roads are horrible. Construction everywhere.

Road conditions have been know to wake sleeping childern. My dd and ds are 12 and 11.

I say bring mags or books, favorite music or movies to listen to or watch, but coloring I pretty much think it is a no go situation!

I tried to just assemble a card in the car a couple weeks ago and it didn't go well. I think I would just take some magazines and a notepad and jot down some ideas or work on sketches. I'm a knitter, so that's what I always do.
