Does anyone have the recipe that you include when making up a Caramel Apple kit (it's usually enough for two apples). I had it for years and can't find it.
Thanks,
Diane

AllRecipes.com has a whole bunch for Caramel Apples. The one I linked is just the easy --- unwrap the caramels, melt them with milk in the microwave. But there are lots more. Depends on what you want to add to your kit.
I knew I had it somewhere. After looking at it I realized it was for one apple.
I had to make it after getting the Papertrey Ink Spooky Treats Two with the sets Caramel Apple Kit Stamp.
Here is the receipe on the card that I insert into a cello bag. I add the caramels (9) and a stick. I close the bag with a topper.
Recipe:
Insert stick into stem of apple. Heat caramels and 1 tsp. of water in a microwave safe bowl on high for 2 minutes or until smooth. Stir after each minute. Dip apple into melted caramel, spooning over to coat. Allow excess caramel to drip off. Place on greased wax paper and let stand for 15 minutes or until set. Enjoy!
I just made one and am trying to attach a photo.
Diane

Goals for 2015 50 scrapbook pages/50 cards---progress 35/50 cards Complete my daughter's wedding scrapbook album Spend more time enjoying my friends and not so much time obsessing on work!!!
Here's the recipe:
1 8oz softened cream cheese
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2-2/3 c. Toffee candy bits-found in a bag by the chocolate chips. If you can't find them, just crush a Heath bar!
Mix together with mixer. Chill at least 2-3 hours. serve with Apple slices.
To give as gifts, I mix the sugars and toffee bits in a clear bag with the directions for mixing attached to it. It makes a quick, inexpensive gift--sells well too.
And it tastes wonderful!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone always wants the recipe.
ENjoy!!

Oh yum! Thanks for the idea. We're having a Halloween party this year and it will be a good excuse to serve something kinda heathy, but not too healthy!
