A friend of mine is selling stamped cards in a few weeks at a craft show and asked me for ideas on how to display the stacks of cards (she's selling them individually). I can't think of anything so I thought I'd come to the best resource....Splitcoast. Does anyone know of any suggetions I can give her? Maybe some type of storage shelf at an office supply store or something along that line?!!
I've seen the cards displayed on a Science Board with velcro (available at teacher stores, and Office Stores), in baskets by theme, and in binders also organized by theme. HTH.
I bought two table-top artificial Christmas Trees last week at the $1 store. I am going to put a sample of the cards that I'm selling hanging off the trees with clothespins. It looks really cute. I will have to tape the bases to the table as they are a little unstable (What do you want for a $1)! I'm thinking of putting numbers on the samples and than having the cards for sale in my baskets and that way either they can get them out or me. I'm not sure how this will work out as I know the customers might not like having to go through the baskets but I'm going to try having the baskets really organized. Carol
These setups sound great! I am diving in this year and "doing" a few different craft fairs. A question for all you seasoned fair women... do you just sell Christmas cards/gifts/etc? Or do you find that people buy a variety of card types? I would like some ideas of what works for you, so I can put my efforts into the cards that will sell!!
Thanks for your input!
My fil is making me a clothes line of sorts that has five different lines to put my cards on so it will hold about 95 cards at one time. i have way more than that but i figure if i can get them to the table then they wil look through my baskets of cards as well. and just replace the cards on the line once they are purchased. it's about 4 feet long and 3 feet wide. hope this helps. I'm also selling my cards for $2.50 each or three for 5.00
Since y'all are talking about craft fairs I have a questions. When you sell you cards at fairs do you put verses in them or do you sell them blank inside. I've been stamping for about a year and a half and so far I've just done it for myself, but I think selling them at a carft fair is a great way to pay for my "addiction".
I personally put verses inside. I order cello bags from clearbags.com that a card and envelope fit in perfectly. I buy "Name Badge" Labels at Walmart, stamp the verse on there that is in that particular card and adhere it to the back of the cello bag. Carol
