I am having a blast reading Julie's posts on CHA. She is so darn entertaining. The items she has shown have been excellent closeup pics -- the pictures of the others she has visited with is interesting (I kind of like to match faces with names).
Keep up the great work!
Me too Arlene! I always have fun reading her posts!

I wasn't sure exactly what to expect in terms of seeing "all" the new products photographed on the CHA blog, afterall I am sure the whole tradeshow was overwhelming and to have to download photos and edit things into a blog, I bet we are talking a lot of time!! Time that Julie and Daven and the gang would rather spend walking and talking and learning about trends in the industry. The fact that the SCS team is there and sharing their stories is awesome. I am thinking that once the team has an opportunity to think about what they saw and organize a way to present it to the SCS community--photos and details and opinions...that what they choose to showcase will be leaving us drooling for the opportunity to go spend our $$$ as soon as possible.
What I did expect to see was similar blog entries to what Julie normally posts on her own site. I think the pictures are downright comical at times (what a scream that Julie would even post that photo of her on the computer--I am still wondering what that stain on the chair is??) and just reading the giddiness she has in her entries is enough to channel excitement for me in terms of what is coming down the pike for paper crafting enthusiasts like me.
I for one am enjoying the posts. Sorry you did not like what you saw.
So far I've been very disappointed with the
SCS coverage. At this point most of the pics have been of individuals-- sorry folks I would rather be looking at the booths and NEW PRODUCTS
I am sorry you have been disappointed.
The blog coverage was not actually the purpose of our trip to CHA; we're there working very hard to introduce Splitcoast to companies/manufacturers, many of whom have never heard of Splitcoast. It takes time to walk the floor (It covers 10 square miles) and we enjoy getting to know the people we are meeting, since SCS has always been a "community" website, so we do invest considerable time talking and learning about them. We're people people, if UKWIM?
It also takes considerable time to take pictures, sort through which ones are good enough to edit and upload, and then write about it. It has been frustrating to put in so many hours each day doing the blogging because it's taking even longer with the internet issues I've had to deal with at our hotel.
The blog was intended only as a fun idea to share our experiences with you, but it is a great deal of additional work, besides just trying to do what we actually did come to do. ;)
Thank you to all of you that have enjoyed reading our little anecdotes--I'm so glad you are and it's been fun to share with you!

I'm lovin' the blog! The photos of people and products are great and I love Julie's writing style! So entertaining! Thanks to SCS for keeping us in the loop!
Julie - Thank so much for your whole coverage of this event. I enjoy your witty entries, and love seeing the pics.....all of them! I always enjoy seeing peoples faces I've "met" here at SCS. I hope through all the busy-ness of your days, you had the opportunity to have an enjoyable birthday yesterday! Wendy

Sorry you had to see this and take the time to respond. I think the coverage has been great. I especially like seeing the new Cuttlebug goodies. And you are brave to post that pic of you in your PJs in front of the computer! You go, girl!
Dear Julie,
Many thanks for taking the time to set up and post to the SCS/CHA Blog! I was thrilled when you said that you were going to have one! I think that the sharing that you have done so far has been AWESOME! I will be sad when the event is over.
Keep Up the Great Work!
I have been loving the blog and pics! But, can I just say, my absolute favoritest pictures so far has been Julie's adorable shoes! Walk on girl!

The original OP joined in 2004. That't not a new person to me!
So what if they joined in 2004 or 2007. Some people don't live on mbs so they don't post much. If people regardless of how long theve been members or how many post they have can't give their op without getting a bunch of snarky comments then a whole lot of people may get scared from ever posting anything. What a sad day that would be for all boards.

I have to say thank you to Julie, Sara and Daven for posting all the great pictures on the CHA blog. I really wish that it was possible for us to have something like that here.
I can't believe that someone would actually complain about the coverage that someone else is doing on their own time and is nice enough to send back to all of us to see. Also I would like to thank AVONLEA for the link to all the newest craft stuff that is available. Boy if all that comes here to buy I am going to be in trouble.
I guess you just can't please everyone. I think the vast majority of us are very happy with what we have seen on the coverage.
Julie, you went above and beyond to get out as much info as you could! I saw it for myself - whether it was 11:30pm or 6:30am, any spare minute she had, she was working on getting a blog together.
I'm proud of you girl, you held up very well under all of the chaos of those days. *smooches*

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Those of us who will never be able to attend are so very happy to see new product before it hits the stores AND put faces to the names we love to read.
While I am sure everyone is having a blast, it is hard work. Long hours and very sore feet. Everyone's efforts are greatly appreciated.
Perhaps the originator of this topic didn't mean the tone to be taken the way it has. Maybe she was just so eager for new products that the comment came out the wrong way. That is the bad side effect of our electronic age. Maybe that's why emoticons came to be.
I'm happy to read all that is available and will be stalking HRR's blog!
Thanks, Julie!!!! I hope you wore different shoes than you wore on the plane while you were walking the 10 miles of exhibit space!!
Were you telling companies how they could sell out their inventory if it found its' way into, say, a Dirty Dozen member's hands, and then into the gallery??!!
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
I for one have enjoyed all the "coverage" that we have gotten. I love seeing all the pictures of people and finally putting some faces to names. I think SCS has done a great job and should be patted on the back. Keep up the great work. :-)

I think SCS was there looking for advertisers, not to run a retail store. I think the purpose of the blog was to share with us what the new products were, which in turn would increas the amount of traffic SCS gets. This, in turn, would increase its attractiveness to advertisers and its revenues, thereby cementing its position as the #1 stamping forum in the universe!! SCS isn't a charitable enterprise. It needs advertisers to pay the bills. Works for me!
I thought the MOST interesting tidbit Julie posted was that companies send free products to the Dirty Dozen. Now there's a perk worth getting!! You go DD!
