OMGosh.. should have known you would have one on hand... he is sooo cute... he looks so big.
does he still have a head full of hair?
and when will he fit into his flight suit so we can see the 3 men in their suits?????
What a sweet, little boy you have, Keri! I've been lurking on this thread and none of the ebay comments inspired me to post, but I could not let that picture go without a great big "Mwaaah!" (That was me blowing a kiss to the cutest Santa I've ever seen!) Thanks for ending this thread on a fuzzy wuzzy note, Keri!
Is it just me--I guess it is, because everybody is praising the actions of the lady who listed "nothing" for sale on e-bay. I think that is just a little vindictive. She has taken advantaage of e-bay and their format as an auction site to auction "Nothing." E-bay is a legitimate business venue--they are not responsible for knwing or enforcing SU! policy. Why take advantage of them?
Kathy
All the time CMC's do what this lady has done. I suggested it on another post and for one am thrilled she did it. Aren't the people who are selling on ebay taking advantage of the system. I mean, this lady will be charged for listing so isn't she conducting herself in a fair manner as far as the bay is concerned?

GET OVER THE EBAY RULES, yes, this time in caps I was yelling! Ebay charges a mint to list and sell items. I personally will put a bid in and pay her for her information and I am sure there are tons of other demos that will as well. The real issue here is that people, likely demos are cheating the system. These demos are selling CURRENT stuff on Ebay. So in listing information on Ebay, she has paid her fee. If she was accepting a check on a tangible good then the only other cost associated would be at the auctions end. She is the one out the money not any of you who are bellyaching. Let the sleeping dog lie. Ebay is not losing anything.

I have sat here and read through all this and you know what. Anyone purchasing on e-bay (SU or not) needs to make informed decisions about their purchases.
If my customers ask about e-bay, I try to let them know that they can purchase from e-bay, but they are taking a risk and they need to be aware of the selling price of the product from a demo. You can very easily get caught up in the "I gotta have its" and over pay.
As a new demo, I don't like it, but I can't change the world. I can provide the best service to my customers and hope that my knowledge and assistance is worth them coming to me rather than e-bay.
Please, everyone, have a blessed holiday!
I hope my set has arrived when I get home!

I've said once and I will say it agian!!! Let those e-bay sellers have their money. We have our precious stamps and our wonderful customers that we get to interact with and see their faces when they have make their first card. It is very diappointing and I have total confidence that Stampin' Up will do everything in their power to rectify this situation. I love SCS and I am so glad we have a place to come to for support and creativity. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!!

I for one would be happy to bid on this auction to help her pay for the listing fee. At least now consumers who choose to look for this stamp know that we got it for free and that it will be half off in March.
Can people not read? She had nothing for sell They bid $100 for a set of 8 stamps that were not really being sold! Sorry, but this makes me laugh. What better way could $100 be spent than on something that can be purchased in 60 days for $10? Seems like some people have very interesting priorities. JMHO

Melissa,
The $100 bidder was actually a SCS member who was trying to get it more exposure(according to another thread that I read last night)! If a set was currently showing up at a current bid of $100, a LOT of people would look at it!
Ok, I am running out the door and only got to page 2 of the thread. Whatever was in the first post, the link is gone now. eBay has pulled it. But I would LOVE to know what it said. Can someone tell me what it was? I'm dying here.

Someone was selling nothing. They were just explaining that the Sincere Salutations set that the demos received was free and available to the rest of us at a 50% discount come March. I don't know if that makes any sense or not.
Ok, I saw this eBay before but it was listed differently. What in the world!! The nerve she must have. I can't believe her. Hhmmm......her id history, did she used to come to SCS or something? Must have been before my time.
Smartinez, I was wondering if that's what it is. We got delayed on leaving so I ran back in. How sad is it that I run back in and head to my computer and get on this site. I can't help it. I love it.

This person knows it is against the rules to sell on ebay but she is trying to justify it and the fact that she gave the email address if you enjoy buying off of ebay is just crazy.
The link to DS is just unbelievable! Has this person NOT read/heard Stampin' Up!'s rationale for not supporting internet sales? And what is with the flat out nasty attack on demos who remain in compliance with SU policy? (I think the entire tone of the listing poorly reflects SU!'s image to the "unknowing" public--and is a great example of why companies offering franchises require "advertising" to follow a corporate standard!)
As I have said in another thread, I am a big shopper on "the bay" and have been for years. If I were a prospective buyer, just the aggressive/ condescending tone of the listing would make me not want to touch it with a 10 foot pole. I wouldn't expect a smooth transaction with someone positioning herself in such a hostile manner! Perhaps potential buyers will feel the same way upon reading the listing? (One can only hope...)
I emailed the seller, but after finding out certain circumstances about this auction, I edited this post and removed my question from here.
Anyway... I emailed her. I really didn't want to start anything, but I HAD to say something. I could not let this one slide. I felt this was a direct attack on Demos. She hasn't replied yet, but I will keep you posted.
Hey she won that fair and square or however she put. She has every right to sell it. Does that go along the line of the one who got SAB sets from an estate sale.
Could her other credit card source be , ummm maybe propay!! You know the one most demo's use. Why would any demo offer this set as a giveaway???
