Okay, I must be challenged cause I ordered the color caddy and got it today and I put it together and it won't spin and seems kind of wobbly. I'm going to play with it again now, but I must have done something wrong.
Can anyone help me?

Nope, you haven't done anything wrong. That's the way it is. :(

It IS supposed to spin, just not as easily or quickly as a lazy Susan type spinner. I have heard that there is a screw or bolt that is easy to over-tighten...that might keep it from spinning. Also, I think when it's filled with ink pads you'll probably find it less "wobbly."
I'm not 100% happy with it either. But since I'm on a budget and the price for a nice wooden stamp caddy is like $80-$100 and up, I guess I don't have a choice. I'll be happy I got this one for $50 and it counted towards my hostess bens.
I've had mine for a few months now and still think it's okay, but not the greatest one out there. I have showed it to some of my customers and told them that it's not one to tote around, but to just leave on your table or where ever you have the space for it. I do like that it is compact enough for my small stamp table and I don't spin it that much. I usually just reach around to the other side to get the pad I need. I got mine through hostess money for a workshop I had otherwise I wouldn't have got it until I had heard from everyone else. I too am on a budget so this did work out for me the best. It does what it's suppose to do....hold the stamp pads, And it does that very well.

Nope! Mine's full of stamps and still wobbles! Mine doesn't turn easily, but I think I'm going to get a plastic lazy susan to put it on, as others on this site have suggested. It is cheaper than most other caddies, so I guess you get what you pay for. :(

I got the fellowes cassette tape holder and LOVE it! It turns so well and my stamp pads fit in very tightly and there is room for 100 stamp pads (so you could do both craft and classic!) and all I spent was $14 (for the holder and shipping!) You can't beat that deal. So many things you see are $50 - $100 and holds half of what this one holds. If you are on the fence go with fellowes (you can order it on fellowes.com)! Totally worth it! and if you don't like it you are out $14!
There are other threads about this if you need more info and if you want to see a picture check out Beate's stamping room in here gallery. She's the one who told us about it! Thanks Beate!
I have that one, too and I love it! You're right about only being out $14 if you don't like it. I even recommended it to my customers because I think $60 is too much to pay for a caddy like that. And that will give them more money to buy stamps!
Just wanted to give another vote to the Fellowes holder!
I had DH put it together and mine is pretty good...to be honest I absolutely love it! All my ink pads are all together and very handy...it spins slowly the way it should...it was designed so the ink pads wouldn't fly out.....it is made of plastic so its as sturdy as can be. Im a colour caddy lover.....I would suggest it to anyone who has all the pads....
My caddy split my ink pads! I had the handle too loose and when I went to move it, it fell apart. When I tighened it (it was VERY difficult to determine how much to tighten by the way) there was so much pressure on the bottom 2 pads (on all sides) that the plastic cracked!
For the spinning-I don't need, nor want, to have a free-spin, but I would rather not dislocate my shoulder every time I need an ink pad on the opposite side!
For 60 bucks? Sooooooo unhappy! Although I traded Mary Kay to one of my customers for it, if I had paid cash for it, I'd return it! $60 buys alot of cardstock!

Okay, I went to fellowes and found one that holds 100 cassettes for 5.99 (was 11.99 but was on sale $6 off). Is this the one you are talking about? I love the idea that it would hold more than just the classic pads. Right now I use the portable cd holder (logitech or something like that) and I like that it zips and has a handle, but it will only hold the 48 pads and I have two spectrum, two versamark and three craft that won't fit.
That is the one. It ends up being just under $14 with shipping. It holds the new style pads, but the Versamark and Staz On are smaller, so you have to put some sort of filler in there. I just put mine on top. But I really like mine and I looked for a long time before making a purchase. I think it works great, especially for the money!
 $8.00 for shipping a $6.00 item!? Yikes! And I bet it's not that heavy, either! (I'm such a tight-wad!)

Does anyone know if there is anything out there like the fellowes thing that WOULD work for the old style stamp pads?? I only have the black in the new style and probably will not invest in the new ones since my old ones workk great.

Compared to the money you spend for the SU one, I gladly spent the extra $8 for shipping, besides the$5.99 is the sale price. So it's actually more than a $6 item. It's totally a bargain! I love my Fellowes for the price!!
Okay... I have the Color Caddy, but I have other ink pads that I want to be able to organize in a holder as well. So.... I bought the Fellows cassette holder everyone is talking about, and I don't get it!
For the new style ink pads to fit, I really had to cram then in there, otherwise they fell out. But, after I crammed them in there so they stayed put, I couldn't get them out when I needed them.
So, am I doing something wrong? Help!!!

I know it seems crazy to spend more on shipping than the cost of the item but your total cost is SOOOOO much lower than anything else out there! Don't let that stop you from ordering--your next best option is $50-$60 plus shipping and handling!
I checked out stores and they don't sell cassette storage anymore!
If you are looking for it on-line if you search cassette at fellowes.com it is the bottom one of the three (the 100 cassette storage that spins). Mine was backordered but it still only took a week for me to get it! And it's already put together!
They are a TIGHT fit! But once you play with it you'll get it down!! I put mine in at an angle and then lock it in place by pushing the other end in (but not too hard or it is really ahrd to get out!). It also makes a difference as to which direction you put your stamp pad in. Don't give up on it, you'll get the hang of it!
Thanks for the suggestion about fellows - I went on there and it's on sale for 5.99!! I may just have to try that one out too - I can use it for all my other pads - like all my kaliedecolrs.
