I just looked up a close to my heart rep and looking through the catty I found a pivot point stapler for $12.95 and colored staples. Where do you get colored staples and do I need this pivot point stapler or would a regular stapler work. I have seen some cards in the gallery with colored staples. I feel this could be an addition to my cards as I am not a ribbon type of person. I see cards with beautiful colored ribbons and bows but when I try it just does not look good. So I am tring eyelets and brads. I do like the look of the colored staples. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Leslie

I bought my colored staples at Target. There are four or five colors in one box for something like $2 and they fit in a regular stapler. I'm pretty sure they were in with the office supplies, otherwise maybe they were by the scrapbooking stuff.
I've got some standard sizes colored ones from Target (yes, in office supply section is where I found them), and also at Office Depot(or was it Office Max?).

I have the Target ones as well. Is there a trick to getting the back of the staples to lay flat once they are stapled onto the paper? Or is there a special stapler to achieve this?

How to make colored staples & paper clips:
Supplies:
Stazon Inks
Staples
Paper clips
Rubber Gloves
Foil
Step 1
Put glove on(very messy job).Open staple &/or paper clips box
Step 2
Open Stazon, rub staple/paper clip in the ink. Turning to coat all sides. Place on foil to dry. (I also used my heat gun to dry them when I'm in a hurry)
Repeat with a different color Stazon.
