We were invited to several First Communion parties next month. I would like to make cards but have no clue what sentiment to use (I am not Catholic). Would "congratulations" fit this scenario? Thanks

you can also check out www.catholicrubberstamps.com to see some sentiments, and get an idea of where to go from there. It's definatley a "celebrate" occasion!
The above are great suggestions. Also, if you can't find a stamp set, print it out on card stock and it'll look great.
There's a celebrate your day (the Celebrate set), that's an option. Or it's your day, a special day, happy day, blessing, etc... and inside you can write as much or as little as you want to clarify.
I'm not Catholic either, but I live in a pastor's family :-) There is a 1999 SU set called, "Wishing You Blessings." There are several stamps that would be appropriate:
- Rejoicing with you!
- On your special Day!
- Wishing you all the blessings of God's love on this sacred day!
- A time of new beginnings, a day of special joy, a celebration of God's love.
I know the set is old, but I use it quite often for this type of thing.
I just posted this a couple days ago for someone else looking for the same thing. I just made a 1st communion card for my niece a couple weeks ago. Here's the sentiment I put inside her card:
May you always know the peace of Jesus, the light of his love, and the joy of his life within you.
