Yes...........I am sitting here reading all these threads........whinning..........thinking I'm for sure going in 2008!!! Salt Lake City........2008......here I come!!!! LOL!
I am saving $1000.00.
Convention $250 the other 750 is for hotel and airfair, some for food and fun.
The more the merrier, I slept on an air mattress in Convetion 05!
Being a big anniversary like that, it will be a huge affair. The 10th anniversary in San Diego was incredible! I have only been to two and that was my first! I went to one in SLC later and it was fun, but Wow on San Diego! It was a huge party! Wish I was in Denver though. 10th Anniversary with Stampin'Up!
Bummer! I was so hoping convention would come EAST next year. :(
SU has already said that they will be having it in Salt Lake for at least the next 3 years. Shelli said that she doesn't like to ask her staff to leave their families for 2+ weeks. She also said that having it in SLC is more cost effective and therefore they can give us more free stamp sets at convention.

Knowing that it is their 20th anniversary next year makes not going this year a little easier. I am so there next year with or without a roommate!!!

I am going next year for sure. DH told me he would sit down and we could figure out how to save money for it. YEAH!!! their 20 year anniversary is probably going to be so much fun.

This makes sense, I am sure shipping all the stuff elsewhere and flying the staff there is pricey. But SLC 2008 here I come.
I'm going next year, too! I never thought I would--it's a crazy amount of money for a hobby demo--but I've been totally sucked into the excitement this year! LOL Hoping to find local sidelines to drive with/room with. <sigh>

I'll room with ya, Amy. I'm working it (Convention) in with a trip to Boise. I'll leave DH at his mom's with the kids, and I'll make the short drive (ok, not short, but really not too long) drive down to SLC. I've done it before, it's not bad.
I can't wait...oh, and I'm just a Hobby Demo, too! We need to have fun, too...right?

I really wanted to attend convention this year, but being due 2 weeks with my fourth child after Convention, I didn't see it wise for me to go. Because I would be 38 weeks when I was planning to attend session #2, I wouldn't fly but would make the 12 hour drive from Boise to Denver. Knowing my luck I would either deliver in the middle of nowhere Wyoming or at convention. I am just not that "girl" who wants to have her baby at Convention. I am really bummed as Denver was my old stomping grounds- graduated from high school and college, got married, and put dh through medical school and his first year of residency there. We had it all planned for him to take time off from work, and then a surprise pregnancy hit us. Everything happens for a reason right?
We live in Idaho now, and I am planning to attend next year. I am only a hobby demo, and take the discount to help me maintain my sanity as I raise 3 almost 4 children under 5 1/2 years of age. Stamping is really cheaper than therapy. I attended Convention 2005 and 2006, and dh noticed how relaxed and rejuvenated I was when I came back.
Once I know the dates for next year, dh will schedule the week off to take the munchkins, and give me my much needed break.
I will so be at SLC next year for convention. This was my first year as a demo, more hobby than anything else. But I really wanted to go, but finances wouldn't allow for this year. I will be there next year!!! I'm looking forward to regionals in September though, I've never been to one of those before either! I can't beleive how excited I am for all of those at convention right now! Wish I could be there with them all!!!!!

We will have to meet up next year, that is if I am still active and don't have anymore babies!
Next year is my 10th weddding anniversary......wow.....that came fast!!
It's August 15th....sooooooo we COULD work in SLC with a trip to Vegas, right???
10 years for me, 20 for SU. Plenty of reason to celebrate!
Ya, Mindee...you "do" know what causes that, right????? ;) Although, this time next year, I hope I'm the one who has the proverbial "bun in the oven."
I think we got it figured out, lol! I took Brook last year with me, (I drove from my house everyday) but this I did not think I could fly with a new born.

I'll room with you, Amy! You will LOVE it! It's absolutely the most fun ever!!! I'm already excited about next year and I haven't even gone this year, YET!

Kris, my 10th anniversary is only 5 days before yours. I am going to try my hardest to make it as well. I think it's plenty of reason to celebrate as well!!!
After seeing photos of this years I am so in for 2008. I have only be a demo since Apr. 2007.
I am going to drive the 785 miles (like 13 hours) from my town in Canada to Salt Lake City...in a way you could say that I will be Crusin to Convention. (He he I have a PT Crusier-sad joke I know)
Can't wait! Also wish that I had know about Convention buddies. I will be someones body next year who can't go!
It's a deal! Did you see the ribbon keychains already sold out for first session! I couldn't believe it! LOL We're all crazy! :-)
Yeah, it's a sickness. You can bet your bottom dollar I'll be there to get everything on my list on check-in day or ASAP after that. I've got your list, baby! ;)

My DH and I celebrate our 20th anniversary next April and I celebrate my 5th anniversary with SU! this August, so I'll be able to march on stage with the other 5 year celebrants (assuming they haven't discontinued that custom at convention).
I was in SLC 2 years ago. I missed last year and then this year I wasn't able to go because of a work thing but I'm definitely feeling convention fever now!
Cheers,
