Default convince me...

On my last order (which is on it's way), I bought A Tree For All Seasons.

I meant to buy Lovely As A Tree.

So convince me one way or the other....why should I keep A Tree For All Seasons? Or if you think the other set's better and I should go through the paperwork of exchanging it?

Thoughts? Opinions?

I just looked at A tree for All Seasons last night and was thinking how well it would work in scrapping - as a border down the side of a seasonal layout, the tree swing is so adorable (and I know I have photos of my oldest in one!) I was so smiten with those thoughts, I didn't even try to think of cards, but the images look like a good size for glitter windows - the snowman would be especially great for that.
Am I helping here? Because I'm almost ready to order it for myself!
As an aside, I have a cousin Somerville; are you on that side of cincy?

Somerville is about 30 miles (45 minutes-ish) north of me...I'm in a suburb of Cincy - North College Hill. Hamilton County. I think Somerville is in Butler County. But it's pretty close. So if you're ever up this way and feel like stamping, drop me a line and you can stop by!

(And yes, your ideas were helpful....wonder if anyone else has any? )

I would exchange it. Lovely As A Tree has moved to the top of my never-ending wish list. I have never given A Tree For All Seasons a second thought. JMO

I've had my set fro a little over a year and I haven't used it a whole lot, but the few times I did use it I made some really cute stuff. I bought some of those 2X2 tiles at Home Depot and stamped one of each on there, the colored with markers and sprayed with Krylon Matte Sealer. I also made a card using all four images and the word "friend" from Love without end, kind of representing a friend in all seasons.

I have both and use both, Lovely As a Tree is my favorite. I suggest you go to the gallery and check out the samples for both then make your choice. I used A Tree For All Seasons to make tiles for gifts last Christmas and they were well received, I have requests to make more. I wiould do this if I could stay off Splitcoaststampers.

I have both and like both, but, I use Lovely as a Tree all the time. I've only used A Tree for All Seasons a couple of times.

You really need to get Lovely as a Tree, since that was your orginal plan! You wouldn't be disappointed

I would definitely choose Lovely As A Tree! It is a great multi-purpose set. When I get sets I choose them based on versatility. Lovely As A Tree can be used for masculine cards, sympathy cards, christmas, fall, spring, you name it.

I also like the realistic images in it. I think they are gorgeous.

I agree, Lovely As A Tree is the best. I love my set, and have made tons of samples with it. You can see some of them in my gallery.

I'd get both!! lol Actually I have "A Tree For All Seasons" and I havent done alot with it, but now that I've found SCS and see all the wonderful samples in the gallery I'll be doing lots more with it. I like the "Lovely As a Tree" set too, I guess Im one of those liberal tree hugging types!!

If you were asking which one you should get, I would Lovely as a Tree. But since you will already have a Tree for all Seasons, I say keep it and order Lovely as a Tree next time. I think you will have to pay return shipping, of about $4.00, to send it back. Since the set is only $11.95 to begin with, you will only be getting $8.00 back. So, for $8.00, I would judt keep it. it is a really cute set. It is the perfect size for glitter windows and looks cute when all 4 are used together. I'm sure there are lots of other good reasons to keep it, but you can always trade it for something else on the BST forum. Heck, I'll trade you for it if you really don't want it. HTH

I agree with everyone else that Lovely as a tree is the set to get! I like A Tree for all seasons but have only done a waterfall card with it at a stamp class but I think Lovely as a tree is more versitile.

I would agree with this. I hate wasting money on S&H.

I love Lovely as a Tree - I made cards as appreciation to my clients each year and that was a big huge hit when they received the card. I've even seen professional card companies have a similar layout - but just black on a background color and called it there "sophisticated" style. I used a multi-color embossing on my and it looked fabulous.

Good luck on your decision.

If I could only have one set, I would get Lovely as a Tree.
