Default CornishHeritageFarms has new Backgrounds including MONOGRAMS!

Just got an email this morning that they have added new background stamps. Two were done at my request (WOW, I've never been accomodated like this before!)

The new sets include monogram letters (both mounted and unmounted) and 2 new saying stamps (Seasons and Dad). They also looked to have a harlequin stamp that was new but I was so excited about the saying stamps I didn't even look at it.

Happy shopping

Since you put the paper on top of the stamp, and then a scrap sheet and rub, is there any reason why unmounted would not work just as well as mounted?

This is my first post. I normally just read and learn...so much knowledge here!

I love the look of the brick wall BG, but for the life of me could not think of how to use it, so I removed it from my cart at the last minute. For those of you that ordered it, how are you planning on using it?

Thanks!

They also have some chicken wire and Paisley backgrounds that look much like the retired SU ones. ;) These folks have the coolest backgrounds on the planet~~

Karen - I bought some background stamps at a stamping expo. So far I have not mounted them for the reason you stated. I lay them face up, then ink them with a brayer and lay my paper on top and press down to get the image. Then I can just take the whole background to the sink and wash the ink off (no cushion or wood to get wet). So far it works for me. I guess if you were doing larger areas where you needed to line them up or use a stamp-a-ma-jig then they wouldn't work as unmounted. But so far they have for me.

I am soooo excited about this too. I buy their backgrounds unmounted and just put them face up on my table, and I am not a fan of unmounteds.

I am particularly happy about the monograms -- the first set is the Nothing Fancy one, the second one is coming later. It is a script set. both will fit on an A2 card.

This company is so awesome and so responsive to suggestions. They let me help them design both monogram sets, so I'm getting the first set of monograms, the whole thing 1/2 off as a thank you!! Wait until you see the Script one. If I say so myself it is quite nice!

Hey, welcome Movin Mel (1st post) Glad you could join the will never get anything done now CLUB.... Everytime I sit down at this forum - really I never get anything else done. I just sit and read all this great info. Did anyone see any curling backgrounds - I requested one. I must run and see.

Oops...just visited the site. Looks like these come with EZmount already attached. So I guess you wouldn't want to go rinse them in the sink like I said. (Mine are just the rubber.) But they could still be used unmounted or will stick to any solid surface (so if you have something large enough that's flat you could use it as a block). For smaller stamps I've even used an inkpad (closed) and stuck the stamp to the inkpad for a block in a pinch. Now I have most sizes of the acrylic blocks so don't have to do that anymore!

So they would stick on an acrylic block, and then unstick....for storage. And you could repeat and use the one block for any of the ez mounts?

I've purchased 15 BG stamps from them over the past three months. One gets to choose what backing is desired. I ordered mine with the wood mounted backing, but un-mounted. I use mine un-mounted and rinse them in the sink.

K. Benko thanks for the welcome. Believe me, I have been well entrenched in the 'never get anything done now' club since finding this site in Feb. Now that I have paid the subscription and have access to even more wonderful things, I am starting to wonder if I will be ready by the time the movers show up at our door!
