Smile Cute DS stamping story

My just turned 4 year old son is down here in the basement with me while I check my email. Anyway he took out an old Sesame Street stamp set that has a built in stamp pad. He begins stamping and says "Hey where's that cleaning thing." LOL He's looking for my stampin scrub. And then he's stamping and says "First you stamp it, then roll it (twist it), then drag it (on the stamp pad)." He says it's a new stamp technique.

BTW...he's using tissue to clean the stamps cuz I'm too lazy to walk upstairs and get either wet wipes or the scrub.

So cute! I was really suprised the first time I let my oldest son stamp with me at how much he had observed and learned! Now I just give him sort semi-free reign with my stuff. He loves to stamp!

Smile My DS was 2...

My DS was 2 or 2 1/2 when he first stamped. Now, it wasn't with an SU set, but I still made him clean the stamps. It was easier to let him than try and tell him he couldn't.
Though now I'm remembering that his favorite set to use was the Bow Bear set. After seeing the bear print stamp in there one day he decided he could make his own "paw prints"....on my white rug!! Ah well, strengthens my arguement for hardwood floors!

Wow! A 4-year-old inventing his own techniques! Maybe he'll be a demo or have a job at SU! one day. Cute story!

My 6 you DS doesn't have the patience to stamp but he loves to clean with the stamping scrub. I can even call him away from Pokemon to do it.

I will be interested to see if he wants to make things with the snowman stamp set in the winter mini.
