Default Cutting Cardstock

I now have two packages of 8 1/2 by 11 SU cardstock. I have no idea how to cut it so it will make the basic size card. I am petrified of cutting it wrong and not having it layer well. I am also worried about wasting parts of the page. Any ideas?!?

Hi there !

A standard card size is 5 1/2 by 4 1/4. If you cut the longest side at the 5.5 mark then you will have two cards !!!!!!!

Hope this helps !

Before you cut anything you need an idea of what you're doing (i.e. card).
What colors of CS do you have?

If I were you, I wouldn't cut till I know what I need for my project. Just cut enough for one card at a time in case you don't like the results. Keep in mind that you won't be able to write on the darker colors so you would only use them for a card front or layer on the back. Sometimes I'll use a prefab card in white and layer my other colors. This way you may only use a quarter sheet as apposed to a half sheet of colored CS. Make sense?

That sounds cool. I also read in one of the other discussion groups that you can put bleach on a stamp and stamp that way. I learn new stuff every day here

Thanks for the help!
