no birds - just a flying bear, a neat folded bella card, and DSP gift bags. check out the convention gallery here at SCS.
Just wondering. I thought it was some joke that he made bird cards each year or something. That's what it seemed like last year when I was there. He's so fun! I did see the flying bear card!!

That new wide oval punch or whatever it's called...will that mat nicely behind the other two we have?? It looked a little different so I wasn't sure. Just curious. Love all my punches.

Going by the punch page - the wide oval punch is fatter and longer than the large oval, so it looks like it would mat. But, it's more fat than long, so it doesnt' appear to be an even mat all the way around.
anybody see the new birthday saying set?? trying to figure out if i should get this one before retires. . . .

That is great news ~
just a quick highjack.. Thank you so very much for the box of cards that you sent me to.. I got them all put in envelopes, papers inside the ones that needed them and they are already on their way overseas.. thank you so much for sharing all the wonderful cards for the deployed troops to send home to their families.. my brother said that the selection there was horrible and that they would be so happy to have cards to send home.. thank you so much. Pam

That's what it looked like to me from the video on the demo site and pictures. Thanks for the help.

Caroline?? Why weren't you able to make it this year? You were an awesome speaker last year, and now you couldn't go?
What a bummer! I am pretty bummed that I am not there either
OMGosh, you are so sweet to say that!!! I can't even listen to that CD recording they made... I'm petrified they took the one where I made the milking cow analogy (while Dale was in the audience... oie!)
We're buying a house next year, so I'm a-saving all my pennies. But it was pretty darn painful not to go, although I'm hugely enjoying it vicariously through Dina and all her phone calls
BTW... Dina was first in line again this year -- camped out there at 5am ...still on Toronto time, obviously. I would have loved to see it!
For those of you at convention who purchased the photo DVD, are the photos of each individual card/item, or of a whole board at a time? Also, is it a DVD format or individual jpegs?

I have a question about the scalloped edge on the catty. I always get mine hard laminated and spiral bound, do you think I will still be able to laminate it? *crosses fingers*
Okay, who can tell me what founders circle is like? Anyone been there? Do you pay your way and it is free when you get there? I have no idea. . .and I get an invite!!! Of course I found out second hand b/c I am not at convention, but I am dying to know!
WOW-- congratulations!
I'll keep reading to see if you've been answered... if not, I'll add more. ;)
ETA: Login to the demo website, then click through: Events > Incentive Events > Founder's Circle

I haven't heard much about background stamps. What's new in that section?

okay- I dont see why you cant laminate the cover of the book with the scallops, you would just have to trim it after.
There is a Big Boho background stamp- nothing really boho specific in paper- but one of the patterns in the desinger prints packages is a boho feel.
The xmas scrap kit is very boho feel

Thanks!
Realy cool new backagrounds
-stripes ( vertical ) thick and thin
-graffiti- all kinds of thank yous all jumbled up and al over the place
-bella toile- toile flowers that goes great with bella line
-classified- looks like a classified add but for all different sentiments
- its a plan- 2 sided background. one side is for weekly to do's and other side is for generice to do lists, both with check mark boxes
-boho blossoms - a boho background
Patty got chosen for advisory board. Way to go Patty!
Other convention news:
All sets will be die cut in Spring Summer 09 catalog. Do you think that means that all the older sets will retire?
The home decor is rolling out new products this fall. More colors. We saw an adorabe ginormous flower wall in pixie pink, chocolate brown, and gable green.
Lots of specials set for this fall.
Everyone needs to get a demostrator website to share in the online ordering profit.
Make and takes were great today. We made an adorable scrapbook page with a different color of flower fusion. Way cute!
Ronda Wade was demostrator of the year for the second year in a row.
Email me if you have any catalog questions and I'll try and answer them for you. [email protected] or StampingMom.com for my blog.
I believe you can still laminate your catalog and then just use the scallop punch to cut the edge of the laminate. It will look awesome.
