Hi Everyone,
I am new to stamping and am trying to decide between ordering Shapes and Shadows and Stipple Celebrations. I have looked through the gallery and see great ideas for both. I was just curious as to everyones opinion.
I think that since they are 50% off I am going to get both, we'll just see what other supplies are on my wish and need to get list before I finalize that decision.
If I have to choose i'll probably go with Shapes and Shadows, but that is preference and knowing that it'll go with the SB pages and cards that I like to make.
Stipple Celebrations is great too because it has every occasion under the sun but i'd only use it on cards, I can't see myself using it much on my pages.
I am getting Shapes & Shadows for sure, so many fun cards to make with that set. My problem is deciding between Stipple Celebrations and Something to Celebrate. So many great sets, wish I could afford them all!
augh! i am faced with the same decision!!! i would love to get them both but i really want a couple other sets too... currently i am leaning toward stipple celebrations since it includes so many "occasions." also there is something about that squarish flower that bugs me! jmo ;)
I have Shapes & Shadows and LOVE it!! I highly recommend it!! I am, however, going to be getting Stippled Celebrations. If I had to choose just one though, it would be Shapes & Shadows.
Shapes & Shadows is my favorite set in the catalog right now. Looking at it in the catalog, I wouldn't have said that, but my upline turned me on to it. It is a truly all occasion card.
Spring - butterflies
Summer - flowers
Fall - leaves
Winter - snowflakes
Christmas - trees
Birthdays
Thank yous
you can use it for men and women
And it looks awesome with every color combination you can think of.
Plus, it looks great whether you stamp the images perfectly on top of one another (you'll probably need a stamp-a-ma-jig) or if you mess it up.
I won't be much help. I got Stipple Celebrations last fall and I have used it for both cards and scrapbook pages. I love it. So...I am going to get Shapes and Shadows next month, for pretty much the same reason. I see it as a versatile set that I can use on both cards and scrapbooks, year round. So a lot of help I am One thing I will say about Stipple Celebrations, though. Whenever I use it, I really wish that I had the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
I have both, and though I've seen a number of cute cards made from Stipple Celebrations, I much prefer Shapes and Shadows. Much more versatile, layout-wise. It's a no-brainer for me: Shapes and Shadows all the way. (And I didn't even like the set when it first came out - it took lots of wonderful samples from SC to open my mind!)
Thanks for all of the input. I would love to order both but have some other must haves that I can't put off. I hate to not take advantage of that half off at all so I have to buy something! I think maybe it will be Shapes & Shadows.......
