Oh My Gosh.... I can't live without mine now! Yes, they are the Petal Point Chalks in the back of the catalog! They are AWESOME! Nice color..... solid coverage, but yet, they dry super fast and are kinda chalkie, silkie...... oh yah, that helps huh? LOL.
I did all my pumpkins with them and I made so many I had to order the reinkers already! LOL. They are a must have on my list! Even though I can't quite explain what they are! Sorry  LOVE them!!
I've had LOTS of the full sized pads for several years & LOVE them! That was one of the things I wanted to see in the new catty this year & my wish was granted!
They are hard to explain. You get pigment coverage with dye drying time & the finish looks like chalk, only it doesn't smear or rub off like chalk does. Does that make any sense?!?!? I used the pink pastel on one of my cards. Let me see if I can figure out how to add a link to it. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
My upline had a camp last week and we colored in the "A Grateful Heart" set with the chalk ink refills. We used old blender pens to apply the refills - the effect was gorgeous! Just like an oil painting!
When I had a customer appreciation night after the new catty came out, I used these chalk pads on one of our projects. So many ladies ordered them that night because they just loved the way they looked. They seem to be one of those items that you try & love!
Yay for chalk inks! I love all of my chalk inks! They are a dye based ink with the vibrant rich colour of pigment, but when they dry (which is pretty instantanious) they look like the matt finish of chalk, Dull and flat. I LOVE THEM SOOO MUCH..couldn't live without them!!!!!!!

I am loving the chalk inks! At first I got them and I thought, "now what?"
Once I started using them, I really like them! I stumbled upon a technique using glossy card stock and chalk inks. There may be an official name for this technique but I'm going to call it "buffing". You stamp direct to paper on glossy card stock with 3 colors of chalk ink. You need to give each color time to dry. It takes longer on glossy. Once all three colors are dry it will look like a very drab chalky finish. Take a cotton ball and buff your card stock until it starts to get shiny and bright. It's really stunning! Then stamp an outline image in basic black over this background. It is beautiful!
I also really like the look of stamping with the chalk inks on regular card stock. You can layer color on a stamped image and because it is opaque, the two colors both show. Very pretty but hard to describe and photos don't do the chalk inks justice.

I loved the look achieved with the chalk inks so much that I bought every single color of the color box ones and several of the versamagic ones too. I would rather use these than any other ink.
Ok - I am going to be in the poor house real soon because of this site! Here is another item I wasn't "into", but will have to be purchasing now!! I just figured they were another "stamp" pad and why would I need more.
Well - now I know!! These will be going in on my next order for sure.
We don't sell the versamagic ones people have mentioned do we? Am I missing them in the catty??
Shhh - don't tell my DH!!

I stamped tiles with it already and sold some customers on them like that. It's nice for customers who would like to do some craft projects like stamping on fabric, cork or tiles (tumbled), but don't want to spend the money on craft pads. This way you have a nice selection of colors for $16.95. You can't beat that!
I like the look of chalks as well. I want to start buying all the SU chalks. I wish SU would put them into the stamp spots as well.
They just have a richer look.

These are an absolutely must! You get such a soft subtle look but because they are a pigment, you can use them on the colored cardstock and retain the color. I love these things. I've been using them for years and they were one of my first purchases when the new catalog came out. If you want a quck, cool background, pick a couple colors and a colored cardstock and do direct-to-paper.
STOP!!! I just cant take it. I am going to loose my mind. every time i see something and think i can live with out it you all talk it up. Now I have to have it. Does anyone know how much the hole book would cost. I have a problem I think. I need things I dont even know how to use LOL I wish i had it all and as i ran out i could buy one thing at a time instead of refilling and getting new LOL I HAVE A PROBLEM!!! LOL I do love my problem though LOL Amy
The chalks are great! They look more like watercoloring when you stamp.
Gorgrous with petal prints!
The little pads are fun to ink up a stamp and you can get fine detail with the little point.
