Re: England participation? Someone asked about joing and whether it would be a problem for someone from England. Maybe we should include in our note to Christine if we'd be willing to have a SS in England so that she can better match sisters?

I pm'd Christine 1st thing this morning. this sounds like so much fun. In a way I hope that I don't get Christine as my secret sis, I'd feel extreme pressure to make sure what I sent was awesome as a thank you for organizing this. Don't get me wrong, I'll do my best for who ever my secret sis is. I just don't want added pressure.

ROFL... I want you all to know that I am an excellent organizer of things, BUT I'm such a "newbie" stamper. I've been at it less than 1.5 yrs! I'm SO critical of the things that I do, and most of what I do stamp is CASEd from here anyway! So no worries about trying to be "awesome." Everything I see here is awesome!
I guess this also kicks this thread back to the top!
Now I really have to get back to work!

Curiosity is killing me...what do you do with the 2 liter bottle???? Please someone, let us know.
The 2 liter bottle you take a empty 2 liter wash it out good and glue the top on it cut a whole in the side where you can fit all your goodies in and you fill it with stuff that your secret sister would like or make stuff you and her email each other and kinda tell each other what you like and then you have a date to send it by its so much fun and when you have it filled up you take a piece of packing tape and seal it up good and put your mailing label over the whole and packing tape that kinda keeps stuff from falling out and take it to the post office and watch the reaction you get they look at you so strange its alot of fun. last one I did I put like stamps my secret sister was hunting markers pens fibers eyelets brads stuff like that .hope this helps understand it .
I just PM you my info. THe one question I have is this. The cards we are sending our secert sister can we write in them or are these cards that they can reuse? This will be my second SWAP & I am curious on what cards I will receive. Thank you!!
Char_oh THANK YOU!!!!! That would be neat to give AND to receive. One question. You send the 2 liter bottle, not wrapped through the US Postal Service? (I guess I'm having the reaction that the postmaster has!!) My family already thinks I'm crazy because I have empty soup cans in the pantry. Just wait until they see the empty bottles!!!!

Thats funny mine does too. Yes you send it not wrapped so you can see the goodies in the bottle thats why they look at so funny its alot of fun you can put tore paper in the bottle to make it look like a gift and then just put all the stuff in side. Maybe some one will host one I would like to do it also. when I did the secret sister one we sent little stuff threw out them 2 months to each other just to spoil her and then the last month we send the big package just thought I would mention that also .
I just PMed my info and am very excited about my first sister swap !!!
I do have a question, as far as the $10 gift goes, will this be an SU! gift (for example, $10 worth of products) or any type of stamping / scrapbooking related gift?
Woo hoo! I've always wanted a sister (have a brother). I'm going to be the best sister ever!!! I'm already saving up my gossip, my hand me downs and a couple of things to fight about.

You mean you send it that way -- unwrapped  :o  That would be wild to go to the post office like that. You mean they don't ruin it in transit.

Yes you send it just like that nothing happens to it it comes to you just fine But this kinda swap is different then Christine is having wanted to say that to make sure everyone does get them confused. But if someone would like to be the hostess she can pm me and I will tell her how it was done.they did put a limit on the bottle $ 5.00 or 8.00 for the goodies in side plus postage.
I have a yahoo group, and we started doing a secret sister, a little different than what you have going on, but here is some info to help you out with flakers.
We have on every other month, you send a care package to your secret sister. You can send handmade items or store bought items, it all depends on you.
Now for the flakers.
If you sign up, you must agree to ship your package with a tracking number and email the hostess your tracking number after you send the package. If you don't send it out with a tracking number, you can't join the next one, and if you do it again, you cant join anymore.
I have begun the process of putting all the information in a spreadsheet. cravh/Robin has emailed and offered to help get this off of the ground, so we will be working on this together. Once I get the info in the spreadsheet, I'll give her half to sort, and I'll take half. That way, I won't know who has me, and she won't know who has her!
I am going to PM you back as I put your info on the spreadsheet. Give me a day or two to get it done. I have an awards ceremony to attend tonight. Of course it is near Hobby Lobby, so I must also go there... priorities you know!
I'm really excited about this! It is going to be fun!
We have room for lots more! Come join our Secret Stampin' Sister Society!!
Hugs,
Christine

Confession time, I was so excited about this idea that I posted a reply before reading past the first page. I'll go back and see what I've missed  Hope I haven't embarrassed myself anymore than ususal!
I've only been stamping for about 2 months, so am REALLY new to this whole thing. Is anyone able to take part in this or do you have to have been in this hobby for a while? Not sure how my talents would stand up to all the ideas I see you ladies have !
If being this much of a newbie is not a problem, let me know how to sign up !!

YES, YES, YES... please join our group. I'm still fairly new to stamping. Everyone was new at some point!
To all... I have just returned home from a very long evening (and a trip to Hobby Lobby ).
I will continue to work on the list tomorrow. To anyone who has asked either on this forum or in a PM, yes, there is still room!! Make sure you have sent a PM to me with your info. Check back a few pages in this post to see what we need to know about you!
Good night!
Christine
