Default Does anyone else wonder what the abbreviations mean?

Being the somewhat shy  person that I am, I'm sometimes too afraid to ask what something might mean. For the past few weeks that I've been a member here I have noticed that a lot of people use abbreviations rather than the real thing. For example: DH, SAHM, ISO and so on. Now some of these abbreviations are obvious to me, but others had me stumped. So in my curiosity, I was led to a different website (to remain nameless ). In the resource section of this website I found a definition section for all of the abbreviations being used by the members of the site. It made me think that maybe the SCSer's should have a tool like this. I'm not sure how to get it set up, but I thought I'd get the idea out in the open.

Kate

P.S. I now have a very large list of abbreviations if anyone would like it!

I know what you mean. I just kinda figure them out by the context of the sentence.

Hello.

I was so lost when I first started coming to this site. I found this thread one day and it helped me a lot. Just a warning though.......there are a TON of abbreviations on this list. More than I will ever be able to remember. There are lots of helpful ones on the list though. Hope this helps. Have a great day!

Maybe, in Daven's spare time, we can add a HELP section to the site. It can include acronyms, FAQ, etc....

Bump = boosting the topic back to the top of the BB list so it doesn't end up so far down the list that nobody sees it. Usually done when someone wants to keep that topic alive, is hoping for more answers/discussion, etc.
