I just ordered my bind it all for half price through TAC(the angel company) Of course I also had to get 3 other half price items and my Mom got a bind it at half price too.
I had a $250 party so I got 2 half price items doubled and used a booking bonus half price item. My saving money is really gonna cost me. Of course I also got 4 free stamp sets and 16 free single stamps( Actually two of those goes to my sister, two to another customer, and two to my Mom - the other 10 are mine though.) I am so excited. I can hardly wait to get all of my stuff. Confession time though not everything that I ordered was half price.
Here's where I need you ladies. I needed all of that stuff, didn't I? I mean did I really want to pass up half price items? I did NEED it, right? Does anyone else enable themselves?
Oh, you definately did the right thing. I got a bind-it-all and the scorepal for 1/2 price during my month as hostess in a "sensational six club". Now, here's the deal, the month that a person is hostess, they do not have to place a minimum order but with 2 half price items, I spent way more than I would have normally. Not feeling guilty at all but it is ironic! I haven't received my stuff yet but it is waiting to be picked up. Hopefully tomorrow!
I do it all the time! ;)
Not only does the TAC catty and all the half price things get me, but I sometimes look for enabler threads to be enabled to buy stuff too!
Heck yeah, you needed it!! I just had an $800+ SU party so I know what you mean about spending to get the free stuff. But I always tell my husband that I could have a more expensive hobby...like collecting Porsches!

I am going to a convention in April that I have saved some other money up for. After that I think I'm done until TAC comes out with the new catty in July. I spent enough on SU in the last two months to get the SAB set plus this splurge with TAC. It won't stop me from wanting though. I do need to spend a little every month with SU for my club, but it can't be large amounts. I surely do want some a that Papertrey though. I would ask one of you to stop me, but you all would probably talk me into something else in addition to the items I want. Well at least we are all in this together.
Well, before you put all your bucks away, do you want me to list a few of my finger walking spots (web sites) for shopping ....hhhhahaaaa I can enable you right over the edge!

It's nice to see that some of the gals from the 'spending' thread followed you over here!! See... you are in good company!! And I'm with 'em ~ you got some great deals and that counts for something
ETA: You stay away from that Papertrey Ink release party tonight ;) Nothin' but trouble waiting for you there!! Okay - beautiful trouble. Their releases are always tempting. Just go to Nicole's blog for ideas that you can use with stamps you already have and you'll feel 'papertreyish' !
I just did the same thing. It was my month as hostess for SU. I spent enough money to get every single itemout of the SAB catty. In the past year, I have managed to get every classic ink pad, refill, the color caddy and numerous stamps. I am now looking through the book and saying to myself, "I need a new book so that I have more choices of stamps." I also am debating on if I should invest in the craft stampin spots or pads. Or if I should just go with Cats eye. Any suggestions?

Bad enough to enable yourself with stamps but then you have all the accessories and the other fun stuff and then of course all that new stuff comes out and you just got to try it then a friend or someone on here you dont even know tells about something they discovered you never heard of then of course you got to go get that! I just have to have it all and it is not hard to twist my arm to try it...lol...now what do I tell the DH...I hide it for awhile and then say oh that well it isnt new...had it for awhile!

This thread is for me! I am my own best enabler and of course I have Shirley Rae who helps. Then I discovered Create For Less! Yikes. I'm with you on buying all the stamp pads and paper from SU. They are the best! My husband is no help at all.....he made me a carousal for the new stamp pads and he gets excited every time I buy more new pads to fill it up. I am giving the old ones to my friend who is just getting started though. Then there's Cuttlebug. But the biggest enabler of all in SCS! So many wonderful stamp artists and great ways to use those products. Do I dare go on! I do love this craft! I do love getting stuff in the mail and I do love bringing joy to others! So I guess I'll just keep on keeping on!

I just placed 2 orders with Papertrey tonight.
Last week I ordered from Gina K.
I just got my latest Creative Memories order today, and am waiting for an order to come yet, but can't remember where it's from!!!
But I did sell 30 cards at work yesterday, so that helps a little!!;)

Did you hear all of the chuckles and outright laughter? That's all of us who really enjoyed your description ... because we're right there with you !
Love your strategy with DH... mine doesn't even look at my stuff. I figured it out. Conflict avoidance. If I asked him if I could buy something, or if he really knew what was there, he'd have to say 'no' or 'stop' ... and I don't think he wants to sense the conflict! I guess it's a sign of trust that we both sometimes look the other way.
I'll have to try Lucie's suggestion - if I can sell some cards, that will be a sign of good faith and help alleviate any guilt!
Oddly enough, no one can really enable me, but I am really good at enabling myself.
Me thinks newscrapper has not been on this site long enough. Even with the amazing self confidence she exudes I think she has challanged the amazing enablers to get to work on her. LOL!
Now for me:
I have learned a long time ago you can't always depend on other people and so I certainly do enable myself when there is a moment I am not being enabled here.

oh get the spots all families. I really wasn't a fan of craft at first but i reach for my spots all the time now. then when you have all the families fil in colors with the cat eyes. I have some cat eyes in colors not available in su but I find they start to unglue themselves from the container and flop
around:(
good luck with that purchase!

Dare I ask, or must I google... what are 'cat's eyes' ?? (in context!! I'm beginning to sense a humorous streak on this thread )
I just put in my order there - and was reasonable this time!!
BTW, she has a post-party comment contest on her blog and it is the neatest thing to read ~ the question posed is, "what's the best birthday gift you ever received?" The answers are so much fun
