Again a non-stamping question, but my dad wants me to help him set up a surprise anniversary trip to Charleston, SC and I'm looking for hotel or Bed and Breakfast suggestions... My parents love historic places but nothing too fancy. Any suggestions? They'll be going there February 21st-24th.
I live in Charleston!!! Ummm what price range do you know? Due to the HUGE amount of tourism here there are TONS of GREAT places...let me know what kinda price range and I will do some asking around for you! I have stayed at #2 Meeting Place for my 1st anniversary but I know that is kinda pricey...
It is an old warehouse converted into an inn and very close to the market. Very nice and not too awfully pricey. My husband and I stayed there a couple of years ago and loved it.
That Anson Borough Inn looks really nice. My dad is thrifty, not cheap, but doesn't want to spend too much so probably between $80-125/night. He's looking for a good value. Which, I don't think is bad seeing as though it's a Monday-Thursday they'll be there. He said he's just looking to do some walking around, shopping, touring, maybe golfing.
My dh's home office is there. He travels there allot. I know the company always foots the bill though. There is so much to do there though. They usually go deep sea fishing and golf. The boys and I might go with him this May. His company wants us to mocve there so bad. But I won't only b/c my family is all here in MO.
Living in north Texas, I can assure that I LOVE my trips to Charleston and the surrounding area. We make two trips a year to Kiawah Island......16 trips to Charleston the last few years. We have friends that own a home Kiawah Island. Charleston is one of our favorite cities in the USA !! I think that we have eaten at all the restraurants, visited all the attractions, and toured the open homes at special occasions. I will PM you about some of my husband's favorite golf course that he and friends play. They only play on Kiawah once a trip as it is soooooo expensive. But my husband says there are wonderful golf courses in the low to medium price range.......and he definitely knows golf!! GOLF is his SU......LOL !!!! Your parents will love their tirp, and I will PM you to tell you some of our favorite places to visit and eat.....and to play golf...........the list will be longgggggg!!!
