I make all of my cards & usually have 1-2 designs which I mass produce - tho' I have made myself crazy by doing single cards for each person on my list (never again). Last year I got into a design frenzy & came up with about 12-15 different designs - so last week I gave my DH the pile of all xmas cards I've done over the last few years & had him pick out a handful that he liked. He tends toward the ones with less detail so he's made it easy for me this year. I'm going to work on them while I'm on leave the next few weeks so they'll be done - next, August birthdays.

Ugh...I make all my cards. I usually start my designs at the end of September. My husband helps me pick two designs...he is great at color and design...I love his input. It takes me until Thanksgiving to get 150 cards done, but I love sending...they are like little gifts in an envelope!
Oh boy...September is around the corner...I will have to start thinking soon.
I make my cards for the holidays. I sit down and do it assembly line style and even my dh gets involved. I don't get too complicated with layers and embellishments, but I do like that handmade touch.

This is the third year I am making Christmas cards. The first year we were newly married, and we live in Florida, so old friends and family are "up north". We went to the beach with our new digital, in shorts and santa hats, and I wrote "Merry Christmas" in the sand, and VOILA! Last year I made DIFFERENT cards for everyone, never again. I just designed my card over the weekend, and will mass produce them for everyone. I like this years card the best so far, I have come so far in my techniques and design.
I voted "make all my cards - I am a demo" but this is will actually be my first Christmas as a demo. I have made my own cards for the last 7 years I believe. I used to make all one design but now I design 4 - 5 cards and then make multiples of those. I send out 80+ cards a year, so that's only around 20 of each (I find it less overwhelming to think of it that way!!;) ).
I actually bought some premade cards two years ago thinking I would send those to some people and I couldn't do it! They are still in the closet. I know, I am a nut, but at least on here I am in good company! ;)
I make all of my cards. I would just hate to buy a card with all the supplies I have in my craft room. I always try to make cards specific for the person I'm sending them to for occasions other than Christmas. My Christmas cards I usually make one or two styles and make several of each. I marked that I'm not a demo but I'm anxiously waiting on my demo number since my papers where sent last Friday!
Okay - I guess I'm the oddball. Because I sent out sssoooooo many Christmas cards to friends and family out of town, I send picture cards. I take about 4-5 pictures of my kids and then pick one out and send it to Shutterfly for a picture card. Then, I will make some cards to give with gifts, and if there happens to be anybody I may have forgotten to send a picture card to, I will make them a card.
I've been stamping for just over a year now, and I too haven't bought a card since. Last year I made all of my Christmas cards. 45 I think, and there were only two the same. This year I plan to only use one stamp set again, and try for a few designs, I'm not a big fan of repitition either. so we'll see how things go. Good luck everyone! And Have fun doing your cards.

I make all of my cards. I cannot justify buying them when I have so much stuff at home to make them. Plus making a multitude of the same Christmas card isn't that much of a chore.

Hi, I make between 100 to 125 Crhistmas Cards each year and then do between 50 to 75 Christmas Cards for my mother-in-law and my aunt each year. I really like to stamp. Sometimes it gets hard with 2 lil' girls running around or wanting to help mommy out(hhmm), but when they go into their "quiet time/nap time" or to sleep for the night...that is my time to stamp and relax! If you put your mind to it---you can do it. ;-) Blessings, Kristy
I hand make about 30 to 45 cards and include my kids' school pictures in these, or hand deliver them to local friends and special family members. I pick 3 or 4 designs for these and make 8 to 10 of each one. I actually have about 20 leftover from last year that I didn't ever send out!
I get picture cards for my about 100 other out-of-town friends and relatives and include a (hopefully interesting!) newspaper type of newsletter with them. I hate to say it, but I prefer to receive pictures and letters from my long distance friends instead of any type of a holiday card (but none of my long distance friends are stampers, LOL!) I think that if I like to receive pictures from people, then that is what I should send, KWIM?
I make all my own Christmas cards, usually two or three of each style, however I use a specific theme each year. This year will be stars. I also include a season quote to fit in with the theme - this I put on all my cards. I usually start making them in November, but keep promising myself to start earlier this year.
I make all my holiday cards. The only time I buy a card is when I want to save it for an idea. I get lots of ideas and sentiments from cardshops.
