Default Dragonfly punch...help!

I got the dragonfly punch with one of my last SU! orders. I tried it on the cardstock and I just couldn't get that durn thing to punch! Am I out of luck or does someone have a tip on how to get that punch to work on my SU! cardstock?

Thanks...I'm ready to make some spring cards...this cold weather is not fun!

Try placing the punch in your freezer for a few minutes. The cold contracts the metal.

I have also heard that wax paper works, just try to punch thru it a few times. helps loosen the punch. HTH

I've also heard of the wax paper idea. That kinda "lubes" the punch up. I also use reynolds wrap to "sharpen" my punches. It seems to work! Good Luck!

Just a tip on use of that punch.

I like to punch the dragonfly on a lighter color card stock and a darker color card stock.

I glue them together slightly off center, and it gives a great shadow effect.

If you use multiple of these on the same piece, make sure they are all off center the same way. I.E. all the bottom punch is slightly to the right and to the top. Hope all understand this explanation.

I have used it with Forest Foliage and Vanilla behind.... It turned out awsome.

Matt

Try the Wax paper - Then also take some tin foil and cut that a few times it will sharpen the punch making it easier to punch. I have had problems with a few of my punches (Not SU ones).
