Default to emboss or not to emboss, that is the question

I'm making a journal that is coming out way too cute. I'll post a photo when it's finished. But I have a question. I stamped part of the front cover with white craft on real red cardstock. After putting the cover together - too late for this one - it occurred to me that the white craft part - a phrase - might 'pop' a little more if I had gone over it with clear embossing powder. But now I'm wonder. It is a journal. Which would hold up under the handling and wear that a journal would take - the white craft ink or the embossing. I'm thinking the embossing might look good for a while but with time might chip. What do you think?

Default Yes--Emboss!

Personally, I'd emboss it. Even if it chips after some time, you can always redo it. Embossing always adds more zing and professionalism than just plain ink, especially on the cover! I can't wait to see it!

Here it is: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

I think on the next one, I'll emboss the snowflakes on the back ground and the black on the snowmen, too, before I color them.

I vote emboss too. If it stands still long enough, I will emboss it, lol!

I love it! It's very cute! I don't think it NEEDS embossing, but it might make the title pop just a bit more!

Your journal is very cute!! I love the saying and I love snowmen.

I would emboss or cover the entire front with Mod Podge. Either way would work great.
