Yes, it works. Use cardstock or heavier weight vellum. Set your printer choices to transperancy setting. As soon as the printer is finished, pull that paper out of the printer and dump the embossing powder on quickly. If you are using small fonts, detail embossing powder is probably better. You need to buy ink for your printer anyway,so why not give it a try.
I don't emboss too much anymore, but when I do I always wonder why I don't do it more often? LOL
