Default Encouragement Poem

I am wanting to use a poem about M&M's to give as a gift of encouragement. Several people from my church are going through some rough stuff and I thought that dropping of a little poem and chocolate might be a bright spot in their day. TROUBLE IS...............can't find a poem. Can anyone please help?

Here's one:

Happiness keeps You Sweet,
Trials keep You Strong,
Sorrows keep You Human,
Failures keeps You Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only God keeps You Going!

I found one for teachers but could be adapted easily for church members. Also I really liked the Christmas story so went ahead and posted it. Good luck!!!

Green is for the inspiration you gave to me each day,
Blue is for your patience in showing me the way,
Orange is for your warmth and your caring style,
Yellow is for the way you could always make me smile,
Red is for my life that you touched this year,
You’re a very special teacher, like this jar-that’s clear!

The M & M's Christmas Story
by Pam Ridenour

As you hold these candies in your hand,
and turn them, you will see...
The M becomes a W, an E, and then a 3.
They tell the Christmas story. It's one I'm sure you know.
It took place in a stable a long, long, time ago.
The E is for the East, where the star shone so bright.
The M is for the Manger, where Baby Jesus slept that night.
The 3 is for the wise men, who came bearing gifts.
W is for Worship. Hallelujah, praise His name!
So as you eat these candies,

or share them with your friends,
remember the meaning of Christmas.

It's a love story that never ends.

Not really a poem, but one of my favorite quotes is:

A bend in the road is not the end of the road, unless you fail to make the turn.

Also, if you can use religious reference, try looking up the Footprints story.

Have you not considered 'Footprints in the Sand'?

My mantra is:
'man hath made no material more resiliant than the human spirit'.

I wonder if that could be useful?

What a lovely thing you're doing. I wish them well, tough times are always just that more bearable knowing you are not alone, God and friends are a pretty powerful team.
