Default Envelope Liners

I'm curious to know if anyone has an envelope liner template they recommend? I like the look of lining my envelopes, but need something quick and fool-proof to make them. Any recommendations? I saw the new envelope punch and a video shows how you can use it to make the liners. Has anyone tried this? Was hoping to find templates for both the pointy envelopes and straight-across, and in different sizes.

Any tips (or links) would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Sue

Love the new Stampin' Up Framelit envelope liners. They are the gently-curved style, not the pointy. I didn't think I "needed" them--thought they were just for looks and a waste of paper--but I have found they are awesome for protecting the cardfronts when they go through the mail. That one little layer makes a huge difference! Instant justification : )

I found that to be true too Lyssa and as if we needed more justification to buy these, they make adorable little "books" if you use several and line up the straight edge as the spine.

I had to make a card with a matching line envelope for a card challenge that I entered. I used my envelope punch board and it turned out awesome.

Here's an easy way to make a liner "template. First cut your liner paper just hair thinner than the width of your envelope and as long as the flap area plus the length you want to line.. Open the envelope and place it on the paper with the flap extended. Trace around the flap and quickly cut out the traced line and "down as far as you want the liner to go. Flip over you envelope and align the the liner just under the gum line. Should match up perfectly. I just use tape runner on the 2 angled flap sides as the liner should fit snug into the envelope. Easy Peasy! Always makes for a nice presentation to a card that you have poured your heart and soul into, plus don't we all have an excessive amount of paper laying around???

I have been wondering how to make them without using so much paper. Thanks for sharing!

Papertrey Ink makes a die for A2 straight-across envelopes:

It works really well.

I love the die from Papertrey Ink that makes the straight flap liners. Works great! However, most of my envelopes are pointy flap so I couldn't use it for them. A friend told me about a tutorial by Mary Fish at her blog Stampin' Pretty. She is a SU demonstrator. It shows how to make pointy liners using the envelope maker and besides being easy they are pretty.
Also, everyone has a ton of papers from the 12 X 12 pads they buy. I personally don't use each and every sheet of paper in the pack so there are a lot of them taking up valuable space. A wise friend said to use them to make envelopes. It uses up something you probably wouldn't use anyway and if you use double sided papers they are already lined. Easy Peasy!

Mary Fish has a great youtube tutorial that might fit your description; it only uses a small square of paper and the envelope punch board.

I can't link up here, search her youtube channel and you will find the video there.
