Default Everyday Flexible Phrases or something else.....Opinions pls

I have been thinking I would buy everyday flexible phrases. But it is like the most expensive stamp set in the book. I was waiting thinking that if I recruited during SAB that I would get that. But now, my Paper Wishes catalog arrived and they have a Alpha-numeric stamp that is like the date stamp at the library. It has 12 characters so you could spell out anything htat is in flexible phrases. It would fit in a 15th the space and you could also do names, and things you couldn't with Su Flexible. Also, you wouldn't have to mount all those little dudes!

What do you think? For the same price, which should I get? I am leaning toward paper wishes but I couldn't demo it then.

Is anyone really really loyal to SU, or do you buy other stuff too?

All opinions welcome!
Thanks
Colleen

I am not a demo, but I have been reading many posts about this as you gals are making your decisions for your kits. I have decided to order this set just from reading how many things you can do with it!!! There's a sticky in the general discussion forum (I think that's where it is), it lists all the phrases you can make from just this one set. Also, there are many images in the gallery that use it! I say go for it! For those of us that don't want to write or print out words, this set is great! Not to mention they are just the right size...

IMO... go for it!

Hi Colleen,
I'm a SU Demo and love our stamps. That being said, I also buy stamps made by LOTS of other companies. There are so many beautiful images out there, why limit yourself to just one company? My first love is stamping - so although I demo for SU, I also spend a lot of time stamping for my own enjoyment, and really, that is my first criteria when buying a stamp - do I love it? Will I use it a lot myself?
So, if I were you, I would probably buy the stamp that can be used to customize your words. I have Flexible Phrases, and like it, but it really is limited in the words included. And it is a bear to mount!

I saw another set kind of like the SU! one at www.impression-obsession.com. It's in their Clear Stamps catagory and it's the Word Play sets. They are clear (duh) and the words are already trimmed, you just put them on the clear block.

I think the sets were something like $16. I'm not a demo, so I'm not worried about that aspect.

The thing that caught my eye was that they had your and you're. It was a pretty big deal on the SUFriends list a while ago.

Anyway, hope this helps!
