Okay, as many of you know, I am doing a craft fair in November. So, I start thinking of the different cards I'm going to make with the stamps I have. Then, I see a great idea with a stamp set I don't have, so I HAVE to order that one to make THOSE cards!!!
Then, I get more ideas for magnets, tiles (different types of tiles, mind you!!), so I have to go out and buy those. Next, are the canvas bags at a great price. So, of course, I have to order a million of those to make. Then there's candles, picture frames, blah, blah, blah.
So, everyone is evil because they've given me so many great ideas, and now I have to make about $500 at the craft fair just to cover my costs!!!!
<laughing> Thanks, you guys!
Lauren~

This is so true! My group of crafty friends is getting ready for a flea market (actually not your typical flea market). I have made a ton of stuff. I'm tying to be optimistic and pessimistic at the same time. If I don't sell much, I've got lots of ready made Christmas gifts...
...stamp buyers are people in your neighborhood, in your neighborhood, in your neighborhood. Oh, stamp buyers are people in your neighborhood. They're the people that you meet while you're walking down the street...

I know the feeling!!!!!! and so does my credit card!!!! and my closets!!! and my kids that get dragged to all the craft sotres, walmart, etc!!! it's fun though!!
Oh, I forgot to add... I have to buy RSVP pens to match the Post-It note covers I'm making. And, then I had to purchase some really cool card holders (the tree branch type) that I saw on a post on here at Target (they were on sale).
So, now I figure I have to sell EACH card for about $10 to get my money back

I find my self casing out every store I go to for stamping supplies. I have become a master at hiding my habit's expenses in the budget-I get my stamping mags at the grocery store (FOOD), tiles, paint cans, etc when my hubby sends me to Lowes for home improvement stuff (HOME), plastic frames, memo pads, comp notebooks, pens, etc at the drug store (MEDICAL). I have even begun to LOVE doing the laundry because I find money that I put away for trips to the dollar store.
Wow-seeing this in black and white, I just realized that I have become a JUNKIE!!!!
MY NAME IS MELISSA AND I AM A STAMPAHOLIC.

I agree
I will have to agree with that. I just got back from shopping again! I bought mat board (not sure why... it was on my list), transparencies, pastel sharpies (although I'm not sure what I am supposed to use them for... dominos?), sealer spray, a silver metallic sharpie, and some fibers I found at hobby lobby for $2.33 a card on clearance! I was so excited I bought 12 of them!
Then I got home and there was my box from www.addictedtoscrapbooking.com that someone posted about and I went shopping and found things I had to have! AND my 2 boxes from Stampin Up were here too! I ordered lots of paper, some ink pads and some sets!
All I can say is thank goodness my hubby is out of town for the week, and thank goodness I am the only one who sees the checkbook! Now, I am off to play with all my goodies!
I have to agree...this site is evil!!!
But I love it. It's the 1st thing I want to see in the morning and the last thing b/4 I go to bed.
My DH is alway looking in the bags when I come in the door from Wal-Mart...why do we need Future Floor Polish? We have carpet..., you dont use hairspray....what are doing with all these plastice frames..I thought you scrapbooked every picture ever taken....what are these candle votives for...you have candle holders already.... But he never says anything about the money I spend...May be because he spends as much as I do when hunting season comes round. He is a true DH!!!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has heard these comments..

 I thought I was the only one who did that!!!
Nope. Whom ever is the one to do laundry in our house gets to keep any money found. I found $5 a couple weeks ago and passed it under everyone's noses saying "see what you get when you do laundry". Well, it must have been mine cause no one tried to take it.
LOL....I was just going to write about the cat's breath! Catie...who is Ralph? (Reminds me of the Jack Handy quotes from the old SNL's) I laugh every time I see your quote. I only WISH my kitty's breath smelled like cat food...he's a doll, so I excuse him....
Melissa
Ralph Wiggum is Police Chief Wiggum's son on The Simpsons. He's hilarious! He also says 'Hi Super Nintendo Chalmers' to the Superintendent.
I try to change the quotes everyonce in awhile so hopefully give someone a boost in their day. I need to find a new one. Oo! Check out girlygirl's signature. It's funny too.
Jack Handy is funny.

Lauren~ it's probably my singing  I can't understand why people don't want to hear Sesame street songs over and over and over and over and ...

I too am addicted to this site and all the good stuff found here. My DH has recently made a few comments that I'd like to share. He has asked on more than one occasion if I am searching porn sites.(Maybe a fantasy for him, not reality) I much prefer it here. Also he asked if we were now the ware house for the UPS man in the area. Seems to think 3-4 packages a day is a little extreme. Also has mentioned that there has to be a help group for this addiction. "Just say NO to art supplies". My reply was yes there is a help group. It is called SCS...they help me in any way they can, all I have to do is ask and I know someone will listen!

oooh! $10, They must be really beautiful. I had mine for $2 but my co-workers said they were much too beautiful for $2 so I raised it to $4 each or 3 for $10.. and you get $10 each! wow!!
just kidding. I know what you mean, it has happened to me also. but, look at how much fun you are having, dear!

I know what you all mean. I had to stop myself 4 times this week from placing an order on the internet. I keep seeing things I want to make or try. Then I realize my time is limited as we are moving in two months ... I need to use up all the stuff in my craft closet NOW before we move so I have room for new stuff in the new house in Boston. (moving from 2000 sq ft, to 1400 sq ft)
My problem isn't just stamping though, I quilt, embroider, and make just about anything I see that I like. Stamping is my most regular addiction though. I need to get my scrapbooks caught up, so I really need to get addicted to that again soon ... it would be nice to have it done before my move.

All of your evilness has sucked me in!! I saw the ad for Hobby Lobby yesterday and could hardly sleep last night, plotting to go today. I drove 65 miles each way to get there. Needless to say, my dh has no idea that I went.
This is too funny -- I started reading this thread and was thinking that this gal is REALLY getting an early start, and then I saw the dates on the posts! I think we have a new record for oldest resurrected thread, LOL! :p
