Default Everything Old is New Again

From reading various posts, it seems like a lot of "old" stuff is making a comeback. Bottlecaps, which I used years ago, are now trendy, from what I see in magazines. Smash journals to me are the same as the old fashioned scrapbooks I did as a kid. And now people are buying typewriters to use for journaling!

What will be the next comeback item???

Neon is hot again! ROFL! My eyes bugged out of my head when I first saw a smashbook. Then I fell over laughing. I loved my smashbooks when I was an eighties teen. I had one dedicated to Johnny Depp. It's a cool trend to see again. I have gone on to art journaling. No more Johnny Depp smash books for me. !

The typewriter craze is boggling my mind too. I love typewriters. I have a beautiful vintage Breakfast at Tiffany's blue typewriter. I paid a whole $1.48 for it at my thrift store a couple years back. It's in perfect condition. Now, I am seeing girls post on other MB's "I found a typewriter today at my thrift store! I paid $20." I love my typewriter because it means something to me. I think it's quicker to use a typewriter font.

I collect pens. I have beautiful sets of fountain pens in my collection. I am looking forward to that trend so I can snag some more fountain pens for my collection.

I guess you can tell I love writing tools. !

I forgot another trend that is back. Traditional stenciling.

my youngest daughter and I got smash books and we are loving it! I also have a couple of old typewriters and would love to find a green one.

Doesn't everything cycle back around, just in a slightly different form? Probably so the manufacturers can make more money selling these products again. LOL I wish my mom had kept her old typewriter. I have been looking for it in her house for months and she isn't sure where it went to. Would LOVE to use it for scrapping.
