Eyelets from eyeletoutlet?

I'm in need of a lot of white eyelets (400-500) and I'd like to get them for pretty cheap (of course!). I also want the same quality as the SU ones, in that they can be attached with the hole punches rather than the hammer method (i.e. alumininum rather than the harder MM ones). Has anyone ordered from eyeletoutlet (or anywhere else) that has these kind of soft eyelets?

I have heard that SU eyelets are the best. 400 eyelets from SU is only $12.00. That's not too much is it? You can buy the pack with just white in it. It is item #100371 for $5.95 (200 eyelets).

From my experience, SU! eyelets are the best !!! When I first tried using eyelets, I was always so frustrated with the way they cracked or how some of them would not bend no matter how hard I pounded !!!

With the small SU! eyelets, I hit them 3 times with the hammer and setter (not very hard at all) and then use the hammer to flatten the back out. The gold ones seem to be stiffer (not sure if that is the best way to describe it), but even then I hit them about 5 times first.

I agree that $12 isn't bad for 400 great quality eyelets !!!

I'm not sure if I am understanding your question or not, but you can punch a hole with an 1/8" hole punch (for the small eyelets) and then just use your setting tool and hammer to set the eyelet. If you don't have a hole punch, you can use the anywhere hole punch tool. HTH !!!

I have purchased eyelets from eyelet outlet and eyelet queen (queenandco.com) and have been happy with both online businesses. Last I checked, eyelet queen was a little cheaper. Wendy is the owner of eyelet queen and she is just fabulous. She has THE BEST customer service I've ever seen. I ordered from eyelet outlet when she was out of stock of something that I needed right then and didn't have any troubles with them.

I have some stampin' up eyelets and they seem to me to be exactly the same as these ones from the other companies, unlike the MM ones. I've been successful at setting them with the punches, but I prefer to use the setting tools, personally.

Ruth,

You can set your eyelet using a 1/16" punch if the punch can reach the eyelet. Just put the "punch" part of the punch in the hole of the eyelet on the back side and squeeze. Like magic, the eyelet is set!
