Four of the colors are in the current special for May, the Palette O' Prints. You get So Saffron, Rose Red, Certainly Celery & Almost Amethyst in a 6x6 pad.
Me too! But I read on another thread you can buy blank spots and ink them with re-inkers. Gotta check in to that. I think it's great that SU took the plunge to update their line with new products. But it's like when you were a kid waiting for the day of your birthday party!

What plunge? SU has updated their line with new products every July. Starting this year we will be WAY lucky, and get new products every July and January?
OK I finally got through this, ummmm well ladies everyone has the right to free speech, good points all around, you love what you love and thats all of it.
I can't wait for the new catty and new insperation, ART is important!
I can't wait for Harry Potter either, but I have to.
I'll stalk SU and Harry untill I reach my gole.
Must earn the punch box!

Back to what is in the catalog...
I am going to get all of the new colors... Can you ever have too many colors?
And my favorite set is the Zoofari set, even though not everyone seems to like it. I love animals and do lots of stuff with kids, so it will be perfect. I will also be getting the pick a petal set. I'm staying away from the patterened paper for now. I have so much that I can't fit it in my space.
I am going to get some of the round rhinestones, too. I also think there will be a bunch of stuff in the new catalog that I will want when it comes out.
Just when you think you have seen everything, they come out with something new and cool that you "have" to have.
After seeing some of the sales tax amounts, I am very happy that there is no sales tax in MT. All I have to pay is S&H.

I thought that preview catty was awesome! I want one of everything!
I can't wait for the big catty to debut. It's going to be just chock full of goodies. There is bound to be something for everyone.
The new in-colors are what will get me in trouble this year. Last year, I only liked cool carribean and vintage violet, this time I like all six! And like I "need" anymore paper and ink:rolleyes: .

How are you supposed to do paper crafts without PAPER and INK? Yes, you NEEEEED more!;)

Did anyone else notice that note under the Soft Sky designer papers that the papers would be available in their 16 most popular colours? I wonder which colours are those 16?
Probably the "Sweet Sixteen"... SU had an article in a demo magazine about why some accessories are available in fewer colors, and they said that it's because those colors are the best sellers. (August 2006, page 9 for demos who wat to check it out!)
Brilliant Blue, Green Galore, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Always Artichoke, Brocade Blue, Rose Red, So Saffron, More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Ruby Red, Apricot Appeal, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink
Don't know for sure if those will be the colors offered, but it's a good guess!

Oooh, oooh, oooh, love lots of color choices. But that's way more paper than I could use myself, so will probably cut the big 12x12 paper into mat stack sizes to swap and share.

Almost Amythest is in the Palette o' Prints stack and not in the sweet sexteen but the other 3 colors in Po'P are. I am guessing though that most of the 16 will be in the paper...
Thanks for the educated guess belindaking! I really hope the Almost Amethyst is one. I am such a purple lover. I cannot believe that there is no purple shade in the sweet sixteen! :(

Oops, yup-- you're right! Almost Amethyst is definitely one of the 16 colors available in the dp because the Palette is a preview of what's to come. ;) Personally, I'm also hoping for Chocloate and Eggplant!
I'm hoping that the 16 colors are the softer, prettier colors, and not the bright, primary colors. The patterns on the papers just don't seem to ME that they would look good in brighter colors.

Chocolate would be super!!! I would love chocolate:mrgreen:
I like the preview. Last year I was disappointed in the preview, and didn't find a lot in the big catty that thrilled me - SU style moved in a different direction than my taste. Anyway, I see more that I like this time around, and I'm more anxious to see what else is new.
The new word sets are excellent and they're nicely priced! Every saying in both sets will be useful to me, and I like all the fonts. I don't think that's ever happened before! Those are on the list!
Love the Brocade Background paper - it's just gorgeous! The Baroque Motifs set is pretty - that swirl is a background all by itself. I think the medallions are interesting - the words I think of to describe them are contradictory - modern baroque? Hmmm. (Yes, I buy sets for just one stamp, and sometimes it's not even the main image .)
I think the new "in colors" are yummy. Did anyone notice that the Zoofari animals on the big M are colored with "in colors"? They don't look watercolored to me. They look to me like they were colored with markers. I could be wrong - I was just lookin' and thinkin'.
It's going to be a long 6 weeks.

I agree, Malinda, a long 6 weeks. When can demos purchase the preview sets so we can play with them on club nights?

Ok I have officially decided I HAVE to have one of everything except the brads (just not my thing!) Lets see here x amount of stamps at $.50 per stamp plus the 1200% inflation............ lotta money good thing im in LOVE with the stamps and my DH loves me!
How does Soft Sky compare to Blissful Blue or Bashful Blue?
Without having the paper in hand yet, and only having seen the preview, it does appear that Soft Sky is a little richer blue than either Bliss or Bashful. Both of those are softer baby or powder blues, with a hint of purple in them (so they're red-tone blues). But it is not as deep of a blue as Brocade or Ballet.

Not quite true... we can also get a volume rebate (from 5-20%) base on our monthly sales, and there are LOTS of perks to being a demo. Ask your own demo for more information about joining SU!
Your right Belinda! I had totally forgotten to mention that. There are alot of great things about being a demo! I signed up more for the discount but have found that I love doing stamp camps and spending one on one time showing my girls how to do something new.
That wasabi color looks very nice to me. I noticed that by getting the punch box you get some of the incolors in spots. Am I misreading this? Maybe the in colors will come in spots this year??????

Yup - you get the wasabi and pomegranate spots with the punch box.

It actually looks like they are stamped on the In Color paper, then cut out. I think they colored in the eyes and teeth with the gel pen. JMO
I know one side of the price thing is that vs. Michael's, etc., asking what they do for one stamp, SU sets are a steal, even at the higher prices on July 1. The difference for someone like me is that I really don't care about SETS. I like stamps IN sets not the set itself. So for me to spend $16-$40 for a set, even if it is a better deal per stamp, it's no deal for me because usually I want one stamp out of the set. I'd rather SU let me buy one of the stamps in the set for say $9 rather than pay $28 for a set when I just want one. So sets aren't a deal if you're not a "set" person. One example for me is that I LOVE that new rhino stamp in the zoo set. My son is Ryne, and we call him Ryno (said like rhino) so we have collected rhino things since he was born. Rhino stamps are NOT flooding the market, so when I saw this one I was SO HAPPY! It's cute, too. But will I pay that price for a whole set when I want ONE stamp? Even if it's a "good" deal for a set? No. I won't. I will find someone that will stamp some for me, and will stamp something for them in return.
Just another point of view of how "good set prices" really just don't fit everyone's needs.
For some reason I can't get in to see the Fall/Winter Preview. Is there a reason, or am I possibly doing something wrong? I tried the link with no success. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Ugh, you're right!! Then I might as well do 2nd day and save myself the extra money. Chances are it would be delivered on Monday anyway since I live on the east coast!
You have to remember, there is such a thing as economies of scale. It might cost a lot more to make the first stamp, but the mass produced ones could really run 50 cents a piece. Bottom line is, a lot of companies get a lot of my money :-). :-). It doesn't bother me that they are making a profit.
But for next day, doesn't UPS deliver on Saturdays? I know they don't for regular delivery, but I always thought they do for expedited?
Sorry, missed this earlier... SU doesn't do Saturday delivery... it costs another arm more than the arm and a leg regular expedited already is. So a next-day order placed on Friday (before 11 am SU time) will be delivered on Monday. A 2nd-day order placed Friday will be delivered Tuesday.
