I have had great success with Cameo Coral/Mellow Moss, Rose Red/Mellow Moss, and Real Red/Green Galore. I just use the stamp off method instead of coordinating colors. They make beautiful bags!
I have used pale plum/perfect plum and mellow moss for the leaves. I also like pretty in pink/rose romance with gable green leaves. I have also done in yoyo yellow /summer sun with old olive for leaves. I think it looks beautiful no matter what color you use. I love this set!

I really think you can't go wrong with any of the 'softer' colors. This set just makes the most beautiful cards! I will have to go through my samples and see if I can post some. This set was well worth the $$!

I've tried lots of different combos with this set (which is my all time fave) and my current favorite is Baroque Burgundy and Mellow Moss. For the rose itself... I stamp off twice for the first rose layer, stamp off once for the next layer, and then go direct to paper for the last detailed layer. It's very elegant looking!
I was playing around with my RIW set tonight! I used Pretty in Pink, Rose Romance and Rose Red with mellow Moss. I just love this set. I usually stick with Rose Romance and Rose Red stamping off when needed!

Me, too! I've got samples posted in my gallery - see the link in my signature.
I also love Rose Romance &/or Rose Red with Sage Shadow. Blue roses are great, too - try Bliss Blue with Ballet Blue & just about any green (moss, sage, garden, olive, gable).
I've just made 32 cards today with this set...I love it! I had to make teacher gifts, so I made 3 sets of 8 thank you cards in 3 different color schemes, used 6 of them for each of the three teachers and made a matching stationary box. Then I made another set of 8 which I am pairing with the leftover 6 from the teacher sets and am giving them to my upline whose granddaughter just died. Here are the combos I used in order of large rose, medium & small rose (second and first generation), leaves, and small flower:
Pretty in Pink, Rose Romance, Mellow Moss, Lavendar Lace
Bliss Blue, Ballet Blue, Garden Green, Cameo Coral
Rose Red, Baroque Burgundy, Forest Foliage, Eggplant Envy
Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Sage Shadow, Blush Blossom
They were all very pretty...it's hard to go wrong with this set!
I made this document from someone posting directions on how to stamp the perfect rose with this set. Unfortunately I don't have credit for who posted the original directions, I definately did not come up with this.
It also has color combos at the end that I have collected from different sources, I will have to add to the list from what was posted here.
I only have it in a Word Document.
Hope this helps, it really does make a great rose stamping them this way.
I have found that if I twist the stamp a bit while I'm stamping (turn it a bit counterclockwise since I'm left handed), that the rose image comes out looking really full.
Please let me know how you like it if you try it.
