I really don't like Mixed Bouquet, Window on the World (serious yuck!), Do the Hula, Say Something Mice, And Everything Nice, Favorite Friends, etc. Cutesy doesn't do it for me.

Then again, I am probably one of the few, the proud, the owners of Born to Ride (the motorcycle stamp set)! Hey, Beate has it, too, so I must be okay!
I have that set and use it a lot for my motorcycling friends. I belong to a national women's riding group (Women On Wheels). Our chapter has a raffle each month and I make a set of 6 cards w/envelopes and donate to the raffle. Without fail, these cards are the first item gone once the raffle starts. One month, I didn't bring them, and had several people ask me to please bring them next month.
It is a very specific stamp...unless you or somebody you're close to is into motorcycling, you probably wouldn't have a use for it.
Before the new catty, I would have answered Loads of Love..... BUT, now with the new accessories, it's starting to grow on me. Cool Cat had to grow on me, too. Now I have it and love it.
I still hate Stew Pot Pals. And I have to admit it, I hate Mixed Bouquet. I'm trying to like Linograph. And I hate the hostess sets Provencal and Haute Couture.
I think the best thing about SU is that the images in the catty are quite varied. You have cutsy, styled, realistic, watercolor, quaint, country.....you get the idea. If we were all the same, the world would be terribly boring!! Some of the sets others have named are my favs. I also agree that sometimes you HATE a set (Cool Cat), then you see a card made by someone like Darttella that makes you say........I'VE GOT TO HAVE THAT SET!!
Someone else talked about getting a set and thinking that getting it will make them like it. For me, inspiration comes from looking at that set and imagining what I can do and if I don't care for it I find I never use it. Do yourself a favor, BST the ones you hate and use the money for ones you love!! Unless, of course, you are like me are a stamp ***** and can't bear to let go of any of them!!
All you have to do is look at our gallery and see that all our styles are SO different. Hooray! Hooray for SU! (Not the "U" set though! Hee Hee)

Everything is a matter of taste, but here is my list of absolute nevers:
1) Charming Children I find those drawings really creepy
2) Stew Pot Pals I can't ever envision sending a card featuring root vegetables
3) Say Something Mice too rodenty
4)Wanda or Wilson
5) Computer Quips
6) Just Beakause (not a fan of puns although I have seen some cute cards)
7)Please be Seated just don't get this set at all

Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
Plus:
Cheesecloth
In Full Bloom
kNOBBLY gNOMES
Lively Little Ones - kids have watermelon shaped heads
There are a lot that are not my style, but the one I never wanted that everyone else liked is Paisley. It reminds me of the ugly paisley clothes we had as kids. I just can't get into it.
i used the stew pot pals in a recipe swap i made and now you all have me thinking everyone will want to send it back to me. :( can't help it, veggies make me laugh!
it is fun to see how many people dislike things i like, and like things i don't. variety is the spice of life it seems!
For me, just about everything in the vintage and sentiments section. I don't do cutesy and I don't do old and distressed looks. I also don't get the Seaside Sketches and Summer by the Sea. I also don't like Flower Filled. Why would I put flowers in an old pair of boots? Don't get it. I'm currently on the fence about Loads of Love. When the catalog first came out, it was one of the first sets I put on my wish list, but I seem to keep bumping it for other sets.
Another thing I don't like which everyone else seems to like is background stamps that have words on them, like By Definition and French script. I get distracted by them when I see them on cards.

Oh, hurrah! I was so worried - I thought it must be an American trend and that I just didn't get it because I was foreign.
After seeing some of my most favourite stamp sets put through the mill, eg Cool Cat (I actually gasped when I found it on this thread ), Shapes and Shadows, All the Best, Paris in the Spring, I feel I should add my own particular bugbear: Sweet Seasons with its strangely-shaped children. The pumpkin kid is the worst... actually, now that I study them, they're all the worst. And Charming Children - they are what my friend would call FLKs (Funny Looking Kids).
Don't like Aquaria either - I know it's the "style" of the thing, but I think it just looks badly-drawn.
But isn't it a relief that you don't love them all - imagine the agonising you'd have to go through if you had ALL the sets on your wish list! ;)
that just doesn't get Special Day, Happy Birthday Greetings, or stamps similar to that? I just don't get it. I will say that the cards in the new catty with those type of stamps are not bad looking. I just don't understand what they would make a stamp with writing all over it like that?

I think that sums of mine too...except I'd add that quirky gnome set to the list. ;-)

The set with the Santa on the motorcycle! I was excited when I heard the description and figured it would be a must have. But after getting the catty in my hands I knew that I would never order it!
I was considering this one for cards this year as Honey has a new motorcycle, but that Santa is kinda weird looking. I don't think I'll be buying it either and I agree on the U thing. Ick.
(But then I bought Paint Prints and Loads of love out of the minis and really get a lot of mileage out of them (pardon the pun)).

Oh yeah, I forgot; I also absolutely HATE Lovely as a Tree! I know that everyone else loves it, but I just can't into it!
ME TOO! And both my demos LOVE it and use it all the time. I just hate it.
I also think Please Be Seated is odd. Don't like the vegetable, chicken, monkey, cow stamps ... just not my style.
I do love the collage alphabet - I think it would be great for scrapbooking. Also love Mixed Bouquet -- I just ordered that one & can't wait for it to get here.
Well In Full Bloom is the set I have never liked, don't know why, but it does nothing for me. I have seen some great cards for it, but I know I would never use it. The Gnomes, Children of the Corn and those root vegetables do nothing for me either. I like the backgrounds with words, (French Script) they look neat, but I think they are too limiting...you can really only use them in one direction...so I don't buy them for that reason.

I don't like the Children of the Corn or the Gnomes either.
I also don't like the Ruff Day and Cat's Meow.....not near as cute as they could be. One of the cats looks evil, kinda like the alice in wonderland cat lol and the dog with the beret actually looks like he's wearing an ice pack on his head.
Fintastic, Aquaria, the 2 seaside sets, the root veggies in the mini, fresh fruits, Wilson's set (it's just plain mean!), and . . . I'll stop.
OMG - I never noticed Farm Fever's eyes! Whoa....that's terrible!

I'm with you on these. I hate the vegetable, animal, cute, gnome, high santa sets.
I would love to have been at the meeting at SU headquarters where the designer of Children of the Corn walks in and says, "Guys, I've got the winning design here, they'll go mad for it, it'll be the biggest seller ever, it's four freaky looking children...." and everyone else in the room AGREES WITH THEM! Who on earth thought that design would sell!
But the one that really makes me go huh! is In Full Bloom, that set is so ugly. I have seen some nice cards done with it but the drawings on the stamps themselves are so ugly. What flower is that exactly?
Considering that I love SU stamps it is amazing how many sets you sit there and say that you hate. I could probably name 20 off the top of my head that I hate, another 20 I would never use, but conversely I can think of probably 40 or 50 that I swear I couldn't live without!
The top ones on my "never-buy" list that other people seem to love:
Totally Cool
Love Without End
Fresh Flowers
Crayon Kids (if I want that look I'll have my 4-year old draw with real crayons!)
Cute as a Bug
I really like Stipple Celebrations and have been wanting to trade for it! Funny how we're all so different!
Cool Cats ~ Totally NOT for me, being totally allergic to cats, I am not much for cats in any form! Ahhh choo! ;) In Full Bloom ~ I thought it was growing on me, but still NO for me. Lovely as a Tree ~ same w/this one, but thanks, but no thanks Sorry, but Fashion Statements, just not my style! I agree w/ a lot of the ones that have been already posted!
I hate the crayon sets. I just don't get it. If I want cards that look like my kids drew them with crayons, I would give them crayons and ask them to darw me some stick figures. I also don't like Just Beakause. That's weird. The Charming Children are misporportioned and creepy as are the vegetable people.
I actually like the U set. And since Denier did the "U Suck" card I am thinking more and more that I need it

And to the person that was wondering if SU read these posts and took notes, I HOPE SO!
i hope not.. cause shapes and shadows, petal prints, love without end, cool cat, mixed bouquet.. the U set.. these are all my faves.
if they do read it .. i am thinking they are probably glad they have such a variety to appease everyone.
I realize this may not be a popular opinion but I don't like anything with a hedgehog involved. I just don't get the draw. And I actually like Please Be Seated, except for the folding chair. Maybe it's just because I'm lazy and the chairs look relaxing. LOL

Boy Charlotte---we must be kindred sisters!!!!! These would all be on my least favorite list as well!!!! I don't like Wilson----but I must say I have had fun with the Wanda set (cards for a few select friends)! I might also add It's a Party and Favorite Teddy Bear! Thanks for the laugh!!!
A few that I have and don't like so much....
Petal Prints
Stipple Celebrations
Mixed Bouquet
A few that I don't have and don't want....ever...
Loads of Love
Stew Pot Pals (They're ugly veggies!)
Charming Children (What is so "charming" about them?)
I have a good quote from one of my music theory profs. in college...
"If it smells, it sells!"
Okay, I have to say, I checked out the card. I laughed so hard that I woke my son up from his afternoon nap. (lucky for me he went back to sleep). That card is hilarious! Thanks for sharing and thanks for the laugh.

So funny that you said this!
When I saw my first SU catty back in October of 2002, I noticed all the hedgehog sets and didn't care for them. But I didn't dare say anything to anybody because I was a newbie and maybe they were Shelley's fave thing in the whole world??? Didn't want to offend!!!
