And on the flip side...what sets are you glad to see gone?
And what are you sorry to see that survived the cut?
Going through the retired list, there were a few that I was glad to see go. Children of the Corn for one (Charming Children) and Please be Seated come to mind.
On the other hand, I was surprised to see Lively Children and Farm Fever still around. But to each her own, eh? With all the talent on the board, I'm sure people make these sets look great.
So, what are your picks?
April
Not-So-Charming Children ("Children of the Corn"!)
Aquaria
Fintastic
Say Something Mice
Quick & Cute
Wanda (But is it a sexist thing that Wilson got to stay?! hee hee)
Fine Print (the first set I bought, but it is so hard to use! What was I thinking?!)
I'm so excited to see what cool, new BG's & Alphabets they will bring in!
~Melanie
Very glad to see the Christmas ones that got tossed and most all the old hostess/SAB sets go. Ditto with Charming Children, the Smile ones and Jazzed Up. Very surprised at a couple that got retired, but I'm all for cleaning out the old and making room for the new!

Borders Mini
Delightful Doodles
Let's Party
Handmade with love (I & II - needs to be updated)
Business Memos (definitely needs updating)
Smorgasborders
(plus most of those listed above)!
Most of them, except the backgrounds, Terrific Tuilps,Shades and Shadows, and Ageless Adormment. Surprised to see the men sets go. Maybe that means some new ones.
I honestly think they got it about right. There was only one surprise Shapes & Shadows, so I am glad to see nearly everything go if it means better replacements.
I'm glad to see that a lot of the sets on the list are going.although I do have about 5 sets I need to get before they go.
sketch an event? tied with 4th.
sweet treats 3rd choice
terrific tulips 1st choice
versatile verses 2nd choice
time for fun tied with 4th

FINALLY - Charming Children will not waste any more precious space in the SU catalog. And Fintastic, Aquaria, Please Be Seated, and all the scary Mice sets - YEAH!!!!! Out with the old and in with the new!
The creepy kids! However, I would have like to have seen Fishy Friends go - they all look drunk to me - LOL!
I thought I was the only one who didn't like FISHY FRIENDS! And, my first thought was, Oh, the SCS ladies will be so glad that Children of the Corn is going away! Haven't had enough time to read it thoroughly, but that caught my eye!
I am personally glad to bid farewell to Smile, Simply Sweet, Please be Seated, and so many more! I wish I was sure to love everything they replace all these sets with, but I am sure looking forward to finding out!
(oh, and of course Charming Children of the Corn, but I think that goes without saying )
Bye-bye, Mice! I always thought they were creepy. But Quick & Cute? This comes up so often on the wish-they'd-go-away lists. I like this set and use it fairly often. Hmmmm...
Almost all of them--I was very disappointed in the selection in this year's catty. Bought mostly paper and ribbon this year, a few sets as gifts, or out of the mini catalogs. I hope this next year is better.
I was really glad to see jazzed up go--all that jazz (5 years ago) was way better.

I have to agree about this. I remember when I first got the catty last year. I looked through and thought, dang, got it....SAB, got it....Mini....got it SAB......there were just way too many sets in there that we'd seen before. I noticed that they really got rid of a TON of old SAB sets. If I take out all of my alphabets, former hostess sets, SAB sets, and backgrounds, I'm hardly losing anything. So I guess I'm glad to give them up to see some fresh new stuff.
definitely glad charming children were gone! i am soooo relieved to see i'm not the only one who thinks these so-called-children are HIDEOUS!!! anyway, does anyone know anything about retiring wheels yet??
and ps. I'm kinda upset that those horribly scary gnomes are still around :-/
I'm one of the few, but I never liked Shapes and Shadows. I remember when they previewed in the stampin success, that w/odd monkey in It's a party set. I was so dissapointed. I'm glad to see the little layer sets go, I liked them and will still use the kite and fish for personal use, but it's time to move over. Maybe we can have a new coffee set. I loved the old one from a few years ago. something a little classier.
yeah, those gnomes are ugly & not to mention scary!! almost as bad as those ugly kids...if not worse! on the other hand, i'm very fond of the 2 wheels & sparkling season...i'll be sad to see this go ...and especially sad to see soft swirls gone!!
Okay, so I am in agreement with you all that the *ahem* "Charming" Children had to go! But is anyone in agreement with me that the Netherlands set should have gone last year?! I was so glad to see that on the list!
