Red face Flocking

I have been reading the threads on heat and stick powder. I printed out Colleen's heat and stick directions, and they are awesome. I was wondering, however, what flocking is. I looked through the catalog and didn't see it. Is it in the catlog? If so, what page is it on? If not, where can I get it? We have Michael's and AC Moore in my area. Do you have other ideas with it? Is it white?
Thanks for your help!

Stampin' Up used to carry flocking... in fact in several colors, but they don't anymore. Flocking is the stuff when you you feel it on paper it's fuzzy. I had a hard time finding flocking until I realized it's the same stuff that they use when making model cars. You can find it in the hobby section at any craft store by the model cars. You're looking for simulated carpet. It's kinda powdery. If you can't find it, just ask someone for the carpet. What I bought comes in a tube like cheap glitter.

Here's a card I made with flocking, the paw on top is flocked.

Ranger Ink carries it and they call it embossing puffs. Click on where to by and there might be a store near you.

Flocking is loose fuzzy stuff, I can find it in the crafts section of my Michael's, usually, it's great to make bunny's tails. It's kinda clumpy, when you sprinkle it on the heat & stick powder, then you press it in, then shake off the excess. Or you can use liquid glue with it. It would be neat if SU! carried it seasonally like they did with the white applique last year (for snow).

I take it you have not yet flocked. A flocking virgin! LOL

Sorry, every time we ladies get around flock, the bad jokes fly.

Those embossing puffs seem like a different product from what I have, but probably with the same effect! Maybe easier and you could skip a step??? With the plain ole flock, it's just fuzz, you have to use either glue or heat & stick, and you don't emboss it afterward. Interesting!!!!
