Default Foamy Paper??

I'm asking this at the request of DD. At school they have what she describes as foamy paper ~ not fun foam, we've established that much ~ she says it looks like a paper plate like in the cafeteria. Has anyone heard of such a thing and where can you get it. Apparently you trace on it and draw on it and it gives your picture depth. Anyone?

It does resemble the foam trays, but it is actual sheets of paper. I've seen the project she did. It was a flat 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. Foamy paper.

Oh wait, does it have a plasticey feel and look to it and is it real flimsy, and flexable? I have seen stuff like that used as packing material.

I work at an elementary school and I've seen it in the catalogs art teacher gets but we haven't ordered any before.

That would make the most sense. I work for the district. I'll look through some of those catalogs next time instead of just tossing them. I think she's hoping we can find it in a store.

Send a note to her teacher, I'm sure she can help you. I had a similar thing happen with a snack they had at school. I looked all over the grocery store only to find out it was home made. Who makes homemade snacks? LOL
