Smile Fundraiser

I am in the process of raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I have created a web site for donations but I am also looking for any suggestions you have for additional fundraisers. one thing that I am doing is going to make hand stamped cards and sell them. Any suggestions are appreciated. I need to raise my money by November 11th.

Thanks!

Default What about...

What about doing a raffle or silent auction and have businesses donate gift certificates or products to be auctioned off (with all the profits going to your cause)? You could host it at a church or even at your house. Sometimes people have extra products on hand that either didn't cost them much, if anything, and they are willing to donate them to a good cause where someone would pay money for them. Or if you have someone who doesn't have products to donate but would like to participate, maybe an SU demo would be willing to donate a gift certificate good for "creating 10-20 custom b-day invites, shower invites, monogrammed thank you notes" or something similar. Those are all just thoughts...hope that helps.

I did a paint can with goodies inside and sold raffle tickets ($1.00 each) for A.C.S. and raised quite a bit for that. I also did candles, cards and other items and sold them at the relay. I raised about $200.00. Some of the items are in my gallery. It said on most of them that it was for the relay.

Depending on what size invitation list you can come up with, an Auction both Live and Silent can raise a few hundred or a few thousand dollars. I've been involved with several. If your local Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is large, try to get everyone involved in rounding up donations. You will want some really "BIG TICKET" items on the list to draw more bids.
As for stamped items to make for the auction, I usually make sets of notecards... all one design, no message. Or, I make stationery. Both always seem to sell and you need to have some small items in order to allow those of us who are not millionaires to feel welcome.
