The new SU! Holiday Mini includes a set called "Gently Falling." SU! had an entirely different set called "Gently Falling" several years ago. Are there really two sets with the same name? If so, are there other sets for which one name was used more than once? ... Just curious
Wow - that is weird. I have the original "Gently Falling" set. I'm surprised they would do that. Couldn't they think of another name for the set???? Maybe they feel the older set is too out dated and so it doesn't matter if they use the name again.

There is a thread just like this on the demo forum! There have been a number of duplicate names! I can't remember them all and have to go teach aerobics now so I can't go look:-) I'll try IF I have time today but it's a busy weekend :(

It's not up yet for anyone who is not a demo but there was a thread awhile back which had a link. I'd have to search for it. I may be back a few pages.

I have the Martha Stewart scoring tool but want the SU one now and will give the Ms one to a friend. I am also in love with the nugget stamps--It's a Wrap. Oh and more I am sure.
EDIt: this is the multiple name thread not the what do you want thread. HA HA HA
Yes, I have found stamp sets with the same name from different years. It can be a bit confusing but
they have done it before just to confuse me.

Reason: Oops!
There are two Build a Blossom too, and definitely two Forest Friends. Usually the gallery title here will give an indication, as in the first Build a Blossom has under it (retired 2006) and the second one is titled Build a Blossom (2011 Occasions Mini).
I think it just causes confusion, myself.
It seems to me that SU is running out of creative ideas. They are not only using the names over again but also the images. They keep producing new sets with older images that have been changed up just a tiny bit.

You're correct Kittie I have noticed this as well.
I've been purchasing SU for years and still LOVE their products!!!

I'm actually glad for this as there are a lot of older sets that I like and wish I had. I like being able to have current ones I can buy and NOT have to go to ebay. And everything comes back around again so designs are sort of cyclical. I think they have plenty of fresh and new ideas too. I also like that I can update my older images if I choose since some of the ones I do have look a bit dated. Then I don't have to be as sad if I get rid of it or if it retires because maybe I have something that is similar.:-)
I found out that names do get used again when I purchased a used set here a few years ago called Fillable Frames (or something like that) and when my purchase arrived it was a completely different set than what I was expecting!

I've working on creating an excel spreadsheet to track all the stamp set names, and I'm getting close to being done. I have noticed that some names are being recycled, but compared to the sheer number of sets they've released, it is a small percentage. I do admit though, I was quite surprised when I came across the first duplicate name.
