Within a few short months, Dazzling Diamonds has become my addiction! How do you keep from having glitter everywhere?!! My DH is very patient but a little worried about finding sparkles all over the house! How do you keep it contained?
I took a class once that used glitter and the instructor had printed out address lables for us to wear that said "yes i know I have glitter on my face"...maybe print up a few of these ;) JK
I haven't found any "fool proof method" either :( Even when I use emboss buddy or wipe the tray and paper with a dyer sheet it stil goes bizerk :(
Glitter is one of my favorite things, and I used it frequently, until I got a speck of glitter in my eye. Very painful. Now, I use it sparingly. I use those swiffer cloths to clean it up. I think it works better than the dryer sheets.
When our poor old cat was still with us, she used to get glitter on her as she liked to walk around me when I was stamping. Eileen

I put my Dazzling Diamonds (and embossing powders) in a Gladware plastic container. Then I write the name of the glitter or EP on the top with a Sharpie. The size I use is big enough to put a sandwich in. Then you can dip your card or panel into the container - no tidy tray needed. I love not having to try to get all the glitter or EP back in those little jars.
I do keep the original containers to show my customers how their glitter or EP will come to them since all they've ever seen is my Glad containers! <g>

Susan- I used to do this to. And it works unless you have a cat who has a bad Glitter Addiction. He came upstairs one day with a face full of glitter. Apparently he chewed thru the bag and was sniffing it! Still trying to get him into a GA program.
I think it is like Fairy Dust! When I use DD, I get it everywhere, no matter how hard I try not to, it is on my face, clothes, hair, and the list goes on.
I finally decided I was just spreading the LOVE around. Sprinkling a little happiness everywhere!
as soon as i have enough "stock" i plan to use the containers...there was a demo that showed that to us...granted it doesn't contain ALL of it, but it works way better than the ep trays..
*dh would ask why i was getting make-up on just to stamp...dahhhh!;) men they just don't understand..
I don't know the name of this product, but there's an item made for removing lint which is like a rolling sticky tape tube. You roll it over surfaces and the glitter sticks to it. This works for removing the glitter from your ink pads too.
After I use glitter, I just roll a fresh piece of the tape over it and it sticks.
HTH,

Provo craft makes this neat little tool. when open it looks like I lint picker upper. it has a blue roller inside like the brayer, it is kind of sticky and loose glitter tiny peices of paper dirt just sticks to it. then take it to your sink and wash off and your ready to go agian!! works great. I am not sure what it is called. but is a cool tool. and I am not quite sure where I found it. but I use it all the time!!!
I don't think it matters how careful you are, there are always going to be stray sparkles! My son-in-law used to complain about me letting the grandsons in my room because they were always glittery when they left. I didn't realize it, but evidently glitter isn't very masculine! Can you imagine that?

LOL! One of my cats has a strange habit of tipping over little garbage cans. After I glitter a card, I'll usually tap it over the garbage can to remove excess. I've seen him a number of times walking around with glitter on his nose, on his fur, etc. I've created my own GA program by automatically changing the garbage bag after a stamping session.
When I saw your original post, I thought there's no way. As I'm reading I am laughing out loud!
You must accept that you'll be sparkly where ever you go!

That is way too funny. My cat likes to lay on top of my Stampin' Scrub, so I always seem to have cat hair on it. It's wonderful when you don't realize it and you try to clean a stamp and it comes out covered in black cat hair. I try to keep it closed, but he will sit on it any time he can.
I glittered Christmas cards when I was at my MIL's house about 4 years ago and she still complains that she finds glitter in the cracks of her antique dining table.

You probably aren't going to like this answer but give up and let the glitter go where ever it wants ;) I used pearl ex for my Christmas card and I must say it makes a very pretty "dust" layer compared to just plain old dust that usually ends up on stuff!
2 years ago I had just bought a glitter stack and for some unknown reason it was on the bed. The phone rang and I briefly thought about the glitter and thought nah the 2 year old can't get into it that quick. WRONG! Well, all my green glitter was dumped into the middle of our bed. So I took the sheets and took them to the basement by the utility drain to shake them out. Over 2 years later if the light is just right you can still see the glitter ;)
All of my attempts to keep the glitter from getting everywhere ended this morning. My DS decided to play. He had the two-way glue pen as well. I don't even know how he knew to use it. It is all over the floor, chair, desk and in half of the paper I had close by. I guess I am fortunate he didn't dump the whole container. Gotta love those kids. I tell them him all the time he is lucky he's cute.
