I'm not in the scrap/stamp chain, but I do sell CM so I think they'd be high quality. I am on the stamp only list and plan on giving mostly SU! but I do have some really cute high quality accessories bought from stamp stores that I know people would love.
Thanks for the input! Sounds great. Can't wait to get started.
Oh, by the way,
The stamp box is packed, taped, and ready to be mailed! Be sure to dump out all of the peanuts and tissue because there is stuff hidden all over!
FUN FUN FUN
So is the idea that the same box be used over and over or should it be repacked in a new box?
Whatever you think. I used a new box that I got from a Viking order. I just put in supplies, put in packing peanuts, etc., and ran several strips of packing tape. I put the address on a computer label, so a new label can just be slapped on top, new return address, and you're good to go. Of course, I don't know what kind of shape that new box will be in after it goes to 12 houses. Hopefully, if it is getting shabby, someone will have a new box to put it in. It will be interesting to see how it goes.
Also, someone asked if they keep everything. Keep only what you want, and replace with new and exciting items of similar total value (or more, I guess).
Just wondering if it has made it to its first destination. I am next in line and can't wait to see what goodies are inside. Patience is a virtue, right?
I have PM'd her a couple of times, and haven't heard back. She volunteered to start the box, so there isn't really any reason not to do it. Maybe an emergency of some sort? We'll give it a couple more days. I had other volunteers to start it. If we don't hear from her, I will contact someone else.
This is turning out to be a really great night. Just came back from a Stampin' Up party at a friend's house where we all got to make 2 cards and now this. I think I am next in line for the goodie box. I have never been in anything like this before so I have absolutely no idea what to expect. Wanna give any hints? Should I be on the look out for "Mr. Blue" or "Mr. Brown"?
Kas246 did, in fact, have a family emergency. She has been unexpectedly across the country. The good news is that she is home now, and is mailing her box priority mail. It should be there soon with heaps of goodies! She sends her apologies. I just knew it had to be something like that!
The goodie box just arrived! I have everything sitting out on the kitchen table, too much fun. I am taking a watercolor workshop tonight at my demo's house, but I will try my best to have the box repacked and on its way Friday, the latest Saturday.
I just wanted to move this to where people would see the list.
Here is a list of the order of things. Check for a PM for the complete info of who you will be mailing things to. I have it set up so that the person who mails out the original box, with her stuff will be the last one on the list. Please be sure that there is great stuff in there for her!!!

Just from the PMs, everyone seems very nice, and very excited!!! Please keep smiles on everyone's face. Mostly stamping stuff, mostly stamin up, no junk - only stuff you would want yourself. Take what you like, but replace it with things of equal value. Be creative!!!
Please post when you receive the box.
Also, PM me when you receive it, and when you send it on to the next person.
I think that we should try to send it on within three days.
Thanks for playing! I hope everyone has fun!!![/SIZE]

I am so excited about waiting on the stampin/scrappin goodie box. I have a box filled with goodies to add. I just hope that what is in the box will be worth the wait. I have never been a part of something like this, so I am really, really excited. Some of my goodies are CM goodies, but for the most part, I have SU! stuff. I can't tell more because I don't want to give away the surprise.

Is anyone on the stamp/scrap box list interested in unmounted stamps? I have a ton that I'll stick in the box if anyone might want them, but if no one does, we don't need to spend the postage on sending them around! They are all just the rubber--no cushion or wood. They're all non-SU, but qood quality, either duplicates of things I already have, or stamps that just aren't my style!
Okay, I have it now, Postlady just delivered it today!! All the way from California!! That was a long trip!! I most likely will mail tomorrow!! I have some things to get out anyhow!
A little advice....if you are going to put things like ink pads in there, please Wrap them in a ziplock. Two had come open and got red and blue ink on things. I clean most up, but dumped the ink pads, they weren't a very good brand (didn't even know what they were, no offense) but, I didn't think they were worth having in the box after that episode. I am adding some more things to make up for that.
Okay, I can't hold this in any longer. People receiving both boxes are disappointed at this point. I know for a fact that there were some expensive items, plenty of SU stuff in the boxes, but it's gone from the descriptions that I am getting. I thought I had made the rules clear, but I guess I didn't.
We have two choices: just end the boxes now and cut our losses, or agree to put SU stuff in the box and send it on. Please let me know what you want to do. I have already done my mailing, and now realize I probably won't get anything in the end. At least three other people are spending money on postage, and not getting anything they want in the box.
I had planned on adding some high quality (but non-SU!,) but I promise to stick with only SU! if that is what people want. I don't want anyone to be disappointed on my account!
I have a box of SU goodies that I have set aside specifically for this swap. Most of it is duplicates of things that I use quite a lot, but just thought it would be nice to add it in there for someone else to use too. I am anxious to get it, and I do hope those before me will add some goodies in for me too.

I too don't want anyone to be disappointed.... I have SU stuff set aside just for this swap, all new and all good stuff. Let us know what you want us to do besides what we are telling you.
Lynne -- I am the person who will mail the box to you. I am a good egg!! I promise you will get some good SU stuff. And I think the lady before me sounds pretty nice too. So, you will not be out -- I hope -- since I'm not sure what you put into it to begin with. It is hard to be at the end of this, isn't it? Hang in there and thanks for doing this.
Joan
